We chose this B&B as we wanted easy access for my wife. We managed to park right outside, there are no steps into the house (unusual for Bath) and we were given a ground floor room. Even though there was a king size four poster (very comfortable) there was still quite generous room for other furniture, including a sofa. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. There was plenty of choice for breakfast which was freshly cooked and promptly served. Among the little extras you don't always get in a B&B - plenty of toiletries, fresh milk for coffee in the room, a mini-bar and a large flat screen TV. Very good value and highly recommended.

After reading some good reviews on the cranleigh we were disappointed. We asked and received a king sized bed made up of 2 singles one was fine but the other was like laying in somebody else s mould it was very lumpy, the room although looked clean there was an old Primark label under the table, the other bad point was they used blankets and not a duvet and old pillow cases not proper pillow protectors which is a basic in today's market.. The bathroom was very pretty and the water was lovely and hot only downside was the plug didn't quite fit and you could hear the water running away. When I realized this i kept my foot pushing it down. The car park is a very tight squeeze so don't bring to wide a car. The lady proprietor just seemed to be going through the motions the same as her breakfast waitress and it seemed very false to us.Whilst breakfast was adequate it was certainly nothing to write home about.

Room Tip: If you do happen to get the zip and link in room 9 go for the one nearest the window. Also they don...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Cranleigh, Bath. We were very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay. We would have liked to have had the opportunity to address the issues you raised but sadly you chose not to bring these to our attention during your stay.

On receiving your comments I have completed an inspection of the room you stayed in. The seal around the bath plug has been replaced. I have also inspected and tested the mattress but I was unable to find any fault. This particular mattress is reasonably new, replaced in late 2012 and has built in memory foam for additional comfort. Our customers have commented about the comfort of this style of mattress which is used throughout the property.

At Cranleigh we are proud to use traditional blankets (x2) and bedspreads whilst I will admit these can be considered as rather old fashioned the majority of our guests like the flexibility and comfort of this.

You can see from our reviews that Cranleigh Bath receives consistently good feedback from our customers and awards from various organisations regarding the cleanliness, comfort, breakfast, hospitality and service we offer.

Beautiful, quaint, comfortable, friendly service. Location was a little out of town but that was the only small negative. The service was excellent as was the Breakfast! We Would recommend it to anyone!

where to start? huge fluffy bath towels ( a rarity even in some POSH hotels), linen table napkins, (ditto last comment.). very smart comfortable room. really powerful shower. breakfast exactly as you liked it. nothing too much trouble. hosts very informative and attentive without being " in your face".we only stayed two nights but they were very restful.

Room Tip: we had superior room upgrade booked on line at a discount.

MyselF & my wife spent last night at the Cranleigh. We purchased a Wowcher voucher having read a few reviews. The Hospitality guests receive at this guest house is second to none. The rooms beautifully decorated very clean and breakfast perfect. Cant wait to return for 2 nights next time as 1 night not enough. The owners of this guest house should be proud of what they have. Look forward to next visit

We were welcomed warmly, extremely comfortable, and very well fed. My daughter loved the Victorian shabby chic decor. Lovely extras like emergency supplies which we needed to use - neither of us had brought toothpaste, and DVDs to borrow. How have you managed to stop the floors creaking in such an old property? What was very special was the way the hosts personally bid us farewell. Can strongly recommend. Thank you.

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend in Bath staying at The Cranleigh Hotel - we had a fabulous time.

The owners are unobtrusive (always a concern for me) but friendly, organised and professional.

The location is great for a stroll in to the Centre but you can also hop on a bus or get a reasonable priced taxi.

We will be back.
