We stayed here for 2 nights and had the family room on the first floor. This was a spacious room and was beautifully decorated. The made to order breakfast was fantastic and there were many choices to choose from. It is just a few minutes walk across the bridge to the city center so the location was excellent. We would definitely recommend the Pulteney House for your stay in Bath.

My wife and I chose Pulteney House after reading that many good reviews on this site and were not disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who made us feel welcome straight away and escorted us to our room. We had booked a four poster bedroom and we were very impressed with it. A comfortable bed, plenty of storage space and a well appointed bathroom. From our window we had views over the front gardens and although the main road was outside, excellent double glazing made sure that we were not disturbed by any traffic noise..
Breakfasts at Pulteney House are amazing. Really delicious, freshly cooked and served promptly and certainly set us up for our days exploring Bath. Pulteney House is a short ten minute level stroll into the centre of Bath. We would definitely recommend this B&B and will certainly look no further for accommodation when we return to Bath.

I stayed at Pulteney House over the weekend of Bath Boules, an event in which I was involved with my Citroën H-Van. What a good choice it was, with everything as one would expect and wish for. Lovely clean and well-prepared room, and, although small, perfectly adequate.

Breakfast was superb, and set me up for the day, and my cycle ride in to Queens Square. Should I be fortunate to be invited to the event again next year, I know where I'll be staying!

We stayed for two nights whilst visiting Bath University and found the location to be excellent - a brisk hike uphill for half an hour through fantastic countryside and over the Kennet and Avon canal with views right across Bath.
We had booked two single rooms: they were not big but were certainly big enough. Both rooms had been decorated with a great deal of style and to a high standard. They were both spotlessly clean and I am VERY fussy about bathroom cleanliness! At first I found my room a little noisy due to the road outside. I then had a good look at the sash window and its double glazing, realised that it was possible to close both of them (it had been a long day!) and then slept like a log in utter silence.
Breakfast was epic - we certainly didn't need any lunch! There was something for everyone, from a gentle bowl of tinned fruit to the full English blow-out. We had to leave early on the second morning, before the official breakfast start of 8 am but when I asked if we could have something a little earlier it was not any trouble.
After a hectic day we welcomed sitting in the garden under a parasol with some reading whilst we regrouped. Bath is at most 10 min away by foot and the key fob for the hotel gives you all sorts of discounts - we had two-for-one pizza in the Real Italian Pizza place which was just as you walk towards the Baths. Excellent.
Overall, clean, friendly, safe parking and good value for money.

Stayed here with friends and we were given a family room, a welcome relief as often us three friends are usually given a twin room with a camp bed. The décor was lovely, plenty of storage within the room and great music system. The double glazing obviously worked as I hadn't realised there was a train line at the bottom of the garden til I stepped outside as a train went past. Great location, only a short walk into Bath city centre and lovely grounds. AND there was car parking space! Breakfast only a small window 8-9 but it was well worth getting up early for.

We stayed at Pulteney House for a short break over the Bank holiday weekend in May and it was the perfect base to explore all that the beautiful city of Bath has to offer, we could just leave our car in their car park and walk everywhere which suited us down to the ground, Bath City center is a short 5 minute walk away...Our room had a very comfortable king size bed in it, ample wardrobe and draw space for your clothes and there was a television on the wall, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and in the bathroom there was a shower cap and little bottles of hair and body wash. The breakfasts are really lovely and you are really spoilt for choice, you could stay there for a whole week and have something different every day! You must try the eggs Benedict it was simply delicious! We had a wonderful stay in Bath, there was plenty to keep us occupied, We would recommend going to the Spa, the views from the rooftop pool are amazing! If we were to go to Bath again in the future we would not hesitate to stay at Pulteney House again...We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff for making our stay so perfect :0)
