Had a two night stay at old fields and it was absolutely lovely. Very warm welcome by (we presume) lady owner. Bedroom was clean well decorated and comfy bed- lovely view too! Breakfast was great. About £5 in a taxi to centre or a 10 minute walk to the train station. Would definitely stay again. Thanks

Beautiful old house with super helpful staff and excellent breakfast. This place is elegant without being stuffy. Staff were very helpful with advice and assistance, and the walk into town was easy and scenic. DVD library was a plus; the room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful find on Late Rooms. We had never been to Bath before and picked this hotel by its reviews. We cannot praise this hotel to much. When we booked in we were met by Jools who was so welcoming and friendly. The room we stayed in was lovely and furnished to a very high standard. We has such a great nights sleep the bed was so comfortable.Breakfast was very good and again the staff were so helpful. We will certainly book into this hotel the next time we visit Bath again.

Oldfields House is an elegant Georgian house refurbished into a pleasant B & B. We arrived a little early than the usual check in time but our room was ready. We were instantly greeted with tea and biscuits which was a wonderful gesture having driven early from London. Karen was vey helpful in explaining to us what the main attractions were in Bath and telling us what we needed to know to start our adventures of Bath, having visited before in the '70s.
Oldfields house is a good 10 minute walk into town but a pleasant walk. Coming back at night it is all uphill but a good way to walk off dinner. There are buses and taxis that you can catch right to the door.
Our room was on the 2nd floor in the loft and it was well appointed with tea/coffee making facilities. The ensuite was a good size and the towels were brilliant. Just like home.
Breakfast is not for the faint hearted. It is incredibly substantial with everything you could possibly eat. We loved the starched tablecloths and napkins. So elegant and the breakfast staff were professional and extremely friendly.
The only problem was the wifi. When you are travelling for weeks at a time you need wifi. It only worked if you were near the reception. Other than that the stay at Oldfields house was memorable and it is highly recommended should you need accommodation in beautiful Bath.

Very friendly but dignified staff. We were greeted with tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival by knowledgeable staff who recommended excellent restaurants and the superb free guided tour of Bath. Breakfast was also superb, well presented locally resourced produce. It is situated a 10 minute walk into Bath but the up-hill walk back may detour the less fit walker but taxes available at reasonably price or buses.I would certainly recommend Oldfields most highly.
