We stayed for one night in late July. Beautiful property. Lovely garden. We arrived late in the day. Parking is a little tight. Rooms are very nice with good facilities. Strong wifi. Good breakfast. The location is ok. It's about a 10 minute downhill walk to the city center with the Roman baths. It's not an awesome walk uphill if you are elderly. Breakfast was very tasty and the innkeepers are very pleasant. I think especially for a couple it's a great quiet place to stay

Oldfields House is a fantastic place to stay in Bath. The interior is beautiful and we were welcomed with drinks in the lounge on our arrival. The staff are all pleasant and helpful, giving you plenty of local information on your arrival and your key room includes a Big Ben discount card that can be used at local restaurants and attractions (we got a free main meal at one restaurant!) which is an added bonus!
The room was lovely - it was better than expected, as we had the cheaper loft room I thought the standard would be compromised a little but that was not so.
Breakfast in the morning was cooked fresh to order and was delicious, we didn't have to wait long despite it being busy and there was plenty of choice with cold and hot food. Again the staff were brilliant and friendly, good customer service is alive and well at Oldfields House!
The location is great too as you can walk into the city centre easily and it includes parking too.
We will definitely be back soon and highly recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Bath.

We have just returned from a one night stay.and wished it could have been longer. The staff are really customer focused and welcoming. As soon as you arrive you are made to feel special with a lovely cup of tea and biscuits served in the beautiful lounge. We had a loft room which had a good air con unit and as the weather was so lovely and hot this was a great asset. The chef was amazing the breakfast not only well presented but tasted great to a five star standard . A lovely place to spend a relaxing break

Ho hum....another business trip requiring an overnight stay. Search on line. Gosh Bath is expensive - must be all those American tourists pushing up prices. But wait a minute, Oldfields is cheaper and very conveniently located AND I can park my car there. Oldfields has impeccable decor. The owner greated me and showed me to my room after first offering me a cup of tea (God, we English are civilised!). Lovely room and lovely sitting room. But then...breakfast. Prepared with such are and really haute cuisine. Delightful service from the two girls too. I shall be back to do some tourism with my wife. Finally, the views from Oldfields are very fine and I watched the sun go downon a perfect day. Well done all.

Had a two night stay with a friend so we could go to the Thermae spa and shop.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and greet you with a cup of tea. Had rooms at the top of the house but the only issue I had with that was it was a warm weekend and you needed either the window open or the fan on, both a bit noisy.
It is up a hill but there is a very regular bus service or taxis available. (The num 14 bus is bay 14 at the bus station).
I would definitely stay there again and recommend them to everyone.

Room Tip: Stayed in a single room in the attic, had everything I needed. If I had stayed longer than few night...

Stayed for one night but wish it had been for longer. Such a friendly welcome, a beautiful room and good quality full English!! I have high standards and this hotel exceeded all of them. The parking is fine, I was worried it would be tight based on other reviews but it's fine if everyone parks properly. I am definitely coming back to Oldfields!

Although its a lovely Hotel providing Hearty Breakfasts, Clean Rooms & Friendly Service, the uphill hike from Bath is not for the faint hearted and poses a real challenge at the end of a day touring the town on foot!
On-site Parking is also an issue, as its very compact and the Entrance to it could prove difficult as its on a corner of a very bust junction.
There also appears to be No disabled access to the Hotel which has narrow passages and steep steps.
Having said all that, I'd recommend the Hotel for the young and fit traveller.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room No 16 with has a four-poster bed and a lovely spacious bathroom.
