This is a gem of a find. I went to Bath for a long weekend with my boyfriend and was very impressed with The Ayrlington. The staff couldn't do enough for us and even at breakfast I asked for something different than what was on the set breakfast menu, and they did it for me with no problem. There was a friendly welcome from the staff and by two lovely cats who were gorgeous and it's only a five minute walk from the centre and Bath Abbey.

Soft bed, fluffy towels, tea and coffee making facilities, and we were in the "Garden Room" so had wonderful views of the garden from our room.

I would however say that's it's more like a four star B&B rather than a five star, mainly because of little things like small bits of paint peeling, and discoloured grouting etc, but I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone!

Room Tip: The Garden Room was superb!

I stayed here for 1 night (Saturday) in August. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to the centre of Bath, so parking in the centre,or taxis not required. The room was nice, a good size with the grand high ceilings that you would expect. The décor was maybe geared a little more towards the +50 market. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Hannah. Didn't make it for breakfast so can't comment on that!

Stayed for 3 nights in July after booking several month early when prices were cheaper.Did not really have anything to complain about but neither could I say there was anything to woo about. The place was very clean despite a bit of detail dusting in the corners. Breakfast was good. Location was 10 mins walk from the center of town which we found ideal. Hotel bar nice and cosy and staff very helpful. Parking ample and free which was a real plus in bath. Would stay again but only if booking at the cheaper rate of £110 a night.

Room Tip: Top floor bamboo room nice view

We stayed in the Empire Room for two nights while visiting Bath. It was so nice to stay in the stately large bath stone home. The furnishings were very fitting for the home. Its location was so convenient to the main Bath tourist area. About a five minute walk. I loved the canopy bed. The view out to the peaceful backyard and garden was quite nice. As a plus, there is a lawn bowling facility on one side of the house. It was very entertaining to watch in the evenings. The breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We just really enjoyed our stay at the Ayrlington and highly recommend it.

The Ayrlington is located close to the historical sites and the shopping in Bath. The hotel is small with a very friendly staff. The breakfast was very good. The only thing one might complain about was the quality of the WiFi connection in the room we had. The room was also facing the very busy street.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the park on the back is a better choice.

We stayed here three days in June. Free parking and is well located, just 10 minutes crossing the bridges to restaurants and attractions. There is no lift so be prepared to carry up your luggage as there is no one to help which is an inconvenience, but the bedroom was overlooking the back gardens and abbey, with coffee and tea provided,a flat tv and wifi. The bathroom was large, with a bath tub, a chair and all amenities needed. Breakfast was just right for us and the staff is helpful and friendly. We have no complaints.

Room Tip: The back rooms are quiet and have a lovely view

Opposite U of Bath, not far from baths and abbey and restaurants. Magnificent, huge room, very well equipped. Large bathroom and bath/shower. Beautifully appointed. Very helpful clerk at check-in. Pretty breakfast facility and better than average breakfast, with the usual items, but high quality.
Parking is tight. Highly recommended, but more costly than average- 140 ff for large king-size bed plus extra bed.
