A lovely individual style hotel. We were there for two nights and stayed in the Chinese Room. Very spacious accommodation and considering the location very quiet. The full English breakfast set us up for a day exploring Bath. Staff were very friendly and with its location being just a five minute walk from Pulteney Bridge the free parking was extremely welcome. The two friendly Burmese cats were an additional plus!

The hotel is perfectly located within a 10 minute walk to town. Parking is the biggest plus! The reception staff were always friendly and very helpful. Our room, the Ivory Room, was a very quiet, clean and located at the end of the corridor. We had lovely view of the garden from our room. Breakfast was served with a smile and well prepared. Enjoyed our stay very much...I think the Buddah at the end of the corridor gave the hotel it's calm and peaceful effect!

Room Tip: The Ivory Room or the Empire Room....both gorgeous and very quiet!

We stayed in the 'Iris' room for 1 night as we were visiting Bath. Room was a standard room and was on the top floor at the back of the property. Although I thought the room was small it was perfect. Lovely comfortable bed, room safe, ipod/radio/cd station, tv and dvd, tea/coffee making facilities everything you could want/need. It over looked the garden and we had views of the Abbey and much to my husbands delight the Rugby and Cricket pitches. The bathroom was also fine with a bath and shower over and hairdryer. There was even an iron and ironing board in the room if you needed it.

The breakfast was all that you could eat cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurts, full English breakfast (all organic) tea/coffee, fruit juices even a vegetarian hot breakfast.

The staff were all very nice and helpful and having parking on site was a blessing. Just a 5 minute walk into the town so didn't need the car.

We eat out in the evening and would recommend the Mai Tai off north parade.

Would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the property have views of garden and are very quiet

Very nice place, great themed rooms, great breakfast, nice gardens and staff, two very hospitable cats. Nice salmon breakfast. Held luggage for us all day after checking out (if not locked away). Key fob to get in at night.

Room Tip: Standard room was very good, and at top so nice view.

This is a gem of a find. I went to Bath for a long weekend with my boyfriend and was very impressed with The Ayrlington. The staff couldn't do enough for us and even at breakfast I asked for something different than what was on the set breakfast menu, and they did it for me with no problem. There was a friendly welcome from the staff and by two lovely cats who were gorgeous and it's only a five minute walk from the centre and Bath Abbey.

Soft bed, fluffy towels, tea and coffee making facilities, and we were in the "Garden Room" so had wonderful views of the garden from our room.

I would however say that's it's more like a four star B&B rather than a five star, mainly because of little things like small bits of paint peeling, and discoloured grouting etc, but I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone!

Room Tip: The Garden Room was superb!

I stayed here for 1 night (Saturday) in August. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to the centre of Bath, so parking in the centre,or taxis not required. The room was nice, a good size with the grand high ceilings that you would expect. The décor was maybe geared a little more towards the +50 market. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Hannah. Didn't make it for breakfast so can't comment on that!

Stayed for 3 nights in July after booking several month early when prices were cheaper.Did not really have anything to complain about but neither could I say there was anything to woo about. The place was very clean despite a bit of detail dusting in the corners. Breakfast was good. Location was 10 mins walk from the center of town which we found ideal. Hotel bar nice and cosy and staff very helpful. Parking ample and free which was a real plus in bath. Would stay again but only if booking at the cheaper rate of £110 a night.

Room Tip: Top floor bamboo room nice view
