Clean place, nice bathrooms, and good security. Good location with only a ten minute walk from the baths in the city center. The staff was helpful. Wifi was questionabe but had a great breakfast in the mornings.

Bath YMCA was a disappointing stay, and we are not particularly fussy travellers. The staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. We arrived to a cold shower, and there was no wifi. The location is great, but it seems that the management are aware of this so not motivated to offer a great experience. Room was very basic, and reasonably clean but a little musty. A good base for exploring Bath, but for a very short stay only. Also be aware this seems to be a prime location for hens and bucks nights so expect people arriving home late and being loud.

I stayed here in June with three friends, and the place was fantastic! After questionable accommodation in Berlin, Paris and London, Bath delivered the goods!

The place was clean and easy to find. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I'd not stayed in a YMCA place before, and this one definitely impressed me. I didn't use the laundry facilities there, but they seemed to only have one dryer which annoyed a few people. The WiFi was a bit slow and only available in the communal area, but it was fine for what we needed it for.

I'd definitely recommend this place if you're going to Bath.

Good customer service, check-in at 12 noon, very good breakfast provided as part of room cost including lots of fresh fruit. Stayed in the dormitory which was fine - clean linen provided. Large lockers provided and could hire a padlock for 10 pounds (refundable on return of padlock). Central location

The location of this hostel is spectacular and provides an easy base to explore Bath from. The Hostel is within 5 minutes of the city center, River Avon, and Roman Baths. The facilities are also really great; the breakfast room is fantastic, along with the game room and general sitting area.

But.. the hostel is less than perfect. Because of it's nature as a hostel there is a lot of uncontrollable noise throughout the late night and early morning. The walls are incredibly thin in the building which does not shield the rooms from any noise - doors opening, simple conversations, etc. I'd recommend investing in ear plugs; they'll cut out the noise and allow for some rest.

The rooms are what is expected from a hostel - usable but not tremendously comfortable. They are extremely clean though (and that ranks higher than comfort on my list).

The staff does make up for any of the hostel's deficiencies. They are incredibly welcoming and friendly; willing to answer questions and are very efficient with managing the front desk. I interacted with at least 4 different members of staff over the three days that I stayed and each one was kind, helpful and knowledgeable.

Room Tip: If you have a choice.. avoid the rooms near stairs or bathrooms; try and focus on a room at the end...

Fantastic communal showers which can be used to get yourself clean. Excellent dining where one can have a good meal. And a reception area where you can do whatever you feel….

In Summary: It’s fun to stay at the YMCA.

In Bath on a stag do and this was perfect. Location is great being right in the middle of the city.

Price was decent given we had twin rooms. Clean and tidy. Toilet/shower room was clean also, although the temperature on the shower was difficult to get right. Either too hot or freezing cold.

Good choice of cereal and toast included in the price was great, and the option to buy a cooked breakfast. Some of the guys took this and it was a great price.

Great facility for what we needed.
