We stayed for 2 nights in Haringtons and it was a fantastic break. The hotel is right in the centre of bath, with restaurants and pubs all very close by. We had a lovely good sized room. The breakfasts were cooked fresh and really good. We booked the hot tub both nights and it was fab. Our drinks were ready for us by the side of the tub. Even though it rained on one night it was still lovely sitting out and relaxing. I would definately return to Bath and to Haringtons hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Thank you for you kind review. I am thrilled to hear that you had an enjoyable stay with us. The Hot tub proves very popular and I am glad to hear that you enjoyed it.

I am happy to hear you would return in the future and look forward to welcoming you again.

Comfortable, stylish, superbly located smack in the city centre, and with very friendly and helpful staff.
.
Parking is an issue, but that is ALWAYS the case in central Bath.

TIP !!! If visiting for just a few days, do Bath by train, 'cos Bath is not car-friendly. There is ready and easy access to Bristol, Bradford on Avon, and Salisbury for example, and you can completely forget your car :-))

There's a great and award-winning pub across the road, The Raven

Room Tip: I'd guess that the rooms to the rear are quieter ... although the road outside is not really a t...

Dear Guest, Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback. I agree with you regarding driving and parking in Bath can be challenging at times. This is why we try and facilitate our customers in providing reserved off-site car parking. It means they have a guaranteed space to park there car when they arrive in Bath once they have booked it with us. The over whelming majority of hotel in bath city centre have no parking what so ever. They just send there guests of to try and find a space in a public car park, which is not easy at peak times in Bath. We try and take this stress and anxiety away from guests in providing them with a permit for one of our reserved off-site spaces. The great thing about our location is that once you park up your car you can walk to any where in the city. If you do travel by train we are only a 10 minute walk away from the train/bus station in Bath. I hope you come back and visit again with us. Thanks Peter.

It's a small boutique hotel, and so there are some things that you have to realize--such as the fact that there are no elevators and the rooms are quite small (we had a very big bathroom, however). The wardrobe/closet was very small, and there was no easy place to look after other clothes except in the suitcase. However, these are very minor inconveniences where considering the hotel as a whole. Every day we were there started off with a perfect breakfast, with a variety of different choices on the hot menu (included in the cost of the hotel, at least for us) and also with an excellent array of other types of food for those on the "continental breakfast" list. The bed was very comfortable, the hotel was quiet, the staff were excellent...friendly and knowledgeable (particularly about really good restaurants in the area), and if you have a car (and book ahead of time) there's free parking just a short walk away. We'd gone to Bath primarily because of an interest in Jane Austen--the hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the Jane Austen Center. We ate at Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant (2 minutes away), which was fine, Gascoyne's (even closer, and really nice), The Circus (15 minutes away, excellent food, but pretty expensive).

Dear Guest, thank you so much for your kind words regarding your stay with us at Harington's. The fact that we are in a Georgian building can bring its challenges in room design but I believe these are more than out weighted in the unique style and character that the building brings to our guests. This gives us our individuality and charm, something most large hotels just cant deliver. A guest recently said to me that after staying with us they would try and stay in smaller properties from now on, as they felt they were just a number passing through when they stayed at larger hotels. I took this as a great compliment, as it meant that we had made that guests stay with us an experience, something they enjoyed, appreciated and valued. Something we strive to do each day. Thank you again for your kind words, Peter.

Pleasant hotel for an overnight stay, close to centre of Bath. Comfortable room, although rather chilly bathroom. Good breakfast with the added entertainment of the orange juice machine. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking slightly inconvenient and it would have been useful to know that the road outside the hotel was closed due to roadworks.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back of the hotel and did not hear any of the noise mentioned by other reviewer...

Dear Guest, thank you for your review on your stay with us. The good news is the road works that were taking place near the hotel have now finished and the road is now open again. Hurray!! We did try and e-mail everyone to inform them of the alternative route in reaching us, so apologies if you did not get this notification. I will check the timers for the towel rails for the bathrooms as they are programmed to come on early in the morning and evening. Sometimes guests do fiddle with them so apologies if it was not coming on at the correct times for you.

Yes our new juice maker does bring a little bit of theatre to the breakfast room. Press a button and in a few seconds you have a glass of freshly squeezed juice! I hope to see you again on your next visit to Bath. Many Thanks Peter.

Good -
Location - Excellent in centre of Bath
Room - Very nice and comfortable, was in attic rooms.
Staff - Very friendly reception and breakfast staff

Not so good -
Little noisy at night but then is middle of town so to be expected.
Parking - Very disappointed as paid extra £11 parking space, asked to use space till the afternoon next day but couldn't as others had asked before me and they needed others, so cost another £6 when moved car in same car park. Would have been cheaper to pay £8.50 for 24 hour paying in same car park so wouldn't recommend paying extra money.

Dear Guest, I'm very happy to see you enjoyed your stay with us at Harington's . We take great pride in the accommodation we offer our guests. We have a constant programme of improvement in all our rooms and are continually investing in maintaining and improving our standards. Melissa my wife is the designer in chief and has a great eye for attractive colours and modern and contemporary furniture that is practical for a hotel room. Our repeat guests are always happily surprised with our design changes.

Let me explain our parking. Due to our city centre location we do not have on-site parking. We do however have 10 reserved off-site parking spaces available for our guests. As we only have 13 bedrooms, this is sufficient 95% of the time. Guests can keep their parking permits until approx. 1-2pm on the day of departure. If a guest wants to extend their parking beyond this time they can usually do so, subject to availability. We will always try to extent a guests parking whenever possible. unfortunately we must have been unable to extend your parking on the day in questions, due to the amount of people requiring parking on the day of your departure. I apologise if this caused you any inconvenience.

Very good staff who were also knowledgable of the local area and attractions. Great breakfast, nice lounge/bar area.
Fantastic location for walking to all the areas within Bath centre
The only down side was our room which was located facing the road, which while quite through the dat, was noisy with pub and club goers at night. Even with the windows shut we could hear every word of their conversations!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms to the front of the hotel.

Dear Guest, thank you for giving us your positive feedback on you stay with us. We are very proud of our breakfast here at Harington's, as we source as many items as possible from local suppliers. We also cook all our breakfasts to order which is a increasingly rarer in many hotels today. larger hotels especially just leave there hot food under heat lamps for hours, not here at Harington's where we cook fresh.

Being a city centre hotel we do get people from time to time making noise outside, so I apologise if this disturbed you during your stay. We have installed acoustic secondary glazing on most of our rooms which has greatly helped in reducing any external noise. we are happy to allocate rooms to the back of the hotel if people would prefer this as it can be quieter (just ask at time of booking). I hope we can look forward to welcoming you back to Harignton's soon. Many Thanks Peter.

Lovely apartment just around the corner from the main hotel. Very nice indeed, large lounge, large bedroom, kitchen. All clean and tidy, nicely decorated and with Sky TV, WIFI and the like. Couldn't get onto the WIFI but that was probably user error. Looking at the website the apartment sleeps up to 8 but as there was only the two of us, the two top-floor rooms were locked. It also has a terrace at first floor level c/w outdoor table and chairs which would be great in summer for a relaxing drink or two before an evening out - pity it was February and raining.
Very central location, close to Queen's Square and just around the corner from the Theatre Royal, the shops, the Roman Baths, the Thermae Spa, etc.
We arrived early so we left our bags in reception at the suggestion of the helpful chap on the desk and we went to The Raven, the pub across the street. It was nice, does good pies (and more) and good beer - Camra regional pub of the year in 2010 and 2013 I think.
Bath is a lovely compact town, perfect for walking around, looking at the attractions, shopping, etc. They've even got a rugby team, though not as good as Gloucester's
Gascoyne Place, a gastro-pub close by (maybe 200m) does superb food, with pleasant and attentive staff. After dinner there's plenty of bars to visit if that's your thing, before heading back to the apartment.
Breakfast was very good: a nice touch is the fresh orange squeezing machine.
Checkout was quick and simple and all encounters with the staff were good.
Highly recommended. Only downside is the appalling traffic in Bath.

Dear Guest. Delighted to hear you had such a great stay in our premier apartment. This apartment is ideal for families, groups away for a few days or just a couple who want to have the extra space that the apartment provides. The private patio area off the kitchen is a very unique feature of this apartment as it has lots of outdoor space and a table and seating for 8 people. When the sun does grace us with its presence it is also a great sun trap and a joy to sit out in and enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage!

We look forward to welcoming you back to Harington's in the near future. Many Thanks Peter.
