“Nice to have some space (we stayed at their City Pad Apartment)”
Reviewed 2 July 2009

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in Haringtons City Pad Apartment (right around the corner from the hotel). It was a little more expensive, but well worth the space and accessibilty to a washing machine (this was the middle of our trip, and it was nice to do a couple of loads before departing for the rest of our journey). The staff was nice and the breakfast was good, too (continental only for apartment dwellers). The birds in the morning and the bar hoppers at night were loud (windows were open for air, so this made the noise all the more bothersome). Our only real complaint was the city itself (3 nights was too much, 1 or 2 would have been plenty). The Roman bathes were very impressive, but the city of Bath itself seemed like a mini version of London, but without all of the impressive museums and sites (all of the stores were chains; didn't seem to have as much charm as we were hoping). So if you stay a night or 2 in Bath, this hotel was great (but I wouldn't advise staying longer unless you have a lot of day trips planned).

Definately one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in, very clean and welcoming. The staff were polite, always smiling and happy to help. We had a double at the top of the hotel which was clean, had a comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen tele with Sky and a lovely warm bathroom. The only downside is that your windows are in line with the windows of the offices in front and to the east of the building, this wouldn't have been too bad, if they had net curtains up, however, it is just blinds made from thick curtain. So if you don't want to display yourself to the public you will need to keep the blinds down, which, as they are quite thick takes most of the light from the room.
The breakfast was also very good, with a large selection of fruit and cererals, plus the usual fried options. The location of the hotel is great for exploring Bath, it's very central, but a little difficult to get to in a car unless you have SatNav.

Our stay at Harington's was absolutely wonderful. When we arrived they helped us with our ridiculous amount of luggage up to the top floor where our room was. The room was very inviting and nicely decorated. Plenty of channels to choose from including sports which my bf was appreciative of. The bed was probably the most comfy out of all the hotels in our 3 week stay in England. The breakfast was also REALLY delicious.

The location is unbeatable. It was literally less than 5 min. to all of the touristy things we wanted to see/do. The part I really have to give props to Haringtons for was the fact that I forgot to let them know that we needed to check out very early in the morning and when we called at about 5 am to see what we should do, the desk clerk was still really nice to us even though we were jerks and woke her up so early! (I still feel bad about that!)

I also left my hair straightener (on purpose, can't use it in the US) and they emailed and offered to mail it to me if I wanted.

It was my favorite hotel we stayed at and I would definitely stay there again if we go back to Bath.

We stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday and could not have been more impressed. Location wise the hotel is perfect, a stones throw away from all the local attractions and shops. We arrived earlier than the stated check in time but our room was ready and we were not disappointed. As mentioned in other reviews the car park is a 5 minute walk away but you are able to drop your bags off outside the hotel and then park the car with the permit they give you. The staff were friendly and very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Last but by no means least the breakfast was delicious !! We will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Harington's Hotel over the late May Bank Holiday. Our room was lovely - although bathroom was small. Room overlooked main street (opposite Raven pub) although somewhat noisy, wasn't as bad as I'd read in other reviews. Breakfast was lovely and the dinner we had on the first day was wonderful - only reason we didn't eat there more than the first night was that the menu didn't change!
Hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of Bath so ideal for sightseeing.
Only slight let down was the parking was in a public carpark, which was a 5/10 minute walk from the hotel and at £9 a day on top of the cost of the hotel wasn't cheap.

After much searching and research on the Internet, found this wonderful, small hotel. Very centrally located in Bath, easy walking to restaurants, the Baths, Thermae Spa and shopping. Yes, it is across the street from the Raven, a great local pub, and it may get noisy on a Saturday night. we were there on a Saturday night, but our room was up on the 3rd floor, so noise was not an issue, as it has been for other reviewers. Just keep that in mind when you reserve a room. Note there is no lift, so be prepared to climb some stairs (hey ,we just came from Clovelly, so what's 4 flights of stairs?).

Parking is extra and about a 10 minute walk from hotel, not a big deal. You don't want/need to drive in Bath anyway.

Staff were friendly, helpful, always available and the little lounge area with bar and small outdoor terrace was very convenient for a quiet glass of wine at the end of the day. Wonderful breakfasts.

Harringtons Hotel, what a little gem, right in the middle of the city, a short stroll from all the main attactions, The room was very clean and warm, the bed was soft,(which may not suit everyone) but we slept well. We followed the directions downloaded from their website and found the hotel no problem at all, make sure one of you keeps an eye on the car, (the traffic warden was roaming around) while we dropped our luggage off. where given our car parking permit again followed the directions on the card and found the car park we arrived to early for check in but they were more than happy for us to leave our bags in reception while we went out and about and started our sightseeing, We were more than happy with our room, everything you needed for a short break. We were given the number for the door in case we should come back after midnight, Our room faced the back of the building so we did not experience any noice at night, but the street seemed quite enough when we came back to the hotel. Breakfast was lovely, my husband was asked if he wanted a tot of whisky with his porridge, which he accepted and enjoyed and our smoked salmon and srambled eggs was delicious. The Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend this hotel to family and friends and stay there again.
