We were able to stay here 3 nights and loved it. The breakfast was fabulous, if you were hungry when you left, it was your fault. The hotel was beautiful, the staff wonderful and extremely helpful. We loved it and would recommend it and would stay there again if we are in the area.

We were staying in bath for one night only, to attend a concert in the centre. Apsley House fitted the bill perfectly, having a 24 hour reception (on call). As it happened, the front door is locked at ten but you are given a front door key which was perfect. We got back very late, but it was comforting to know we did not have to worry about access.(Whilst obviously keeping very quiet for sleeping guests :-) ).

We were in the Mornington Room, which was as described in the website. All of the comments about location, cleanliness, breakfast below were spot on, and despite paying a little more than other B&B's, you get what you pay for, which is why you choose this hotel.

The management were very friendly, courteous and helpful, whilst on the right side of discreet. Being short on time, (we only had an afternoon for a whistle stop tour), we were given a map and some directions for a lovely walk into town taking in the park, the Royal Crescent and The Circus, before seeing all of the obligatory tourist bits, including the river walk. We managed all this in three hours, and still had time for a taxi back (£8), nice cup of tea in the drawing room served by the very friendly manageress, before back into town for the night.

A fantastic find, and would stay again if we have a chance to come back for a more leisurely break. Genuinely friendly helpful management couple a highlight, backed up by an equally friendly team, is reason enough to return. Thanks.

This has the nicest, most gracious people running it. They made suggestions, inquired when we returned. The Copenhagen room is just right. The breakfast served each morning is quite elaborate and completely yummy

We stayed a couple of days in Bath, and although weather was not great, hotel and staff particularly David more than made up for the weather. Location is a little out of town but David pointed us in the direction of a couple of routes in that avoided most of the main road. There are however frequent bus services which we utilised a number of times.

We stayed in room on the top floor facing the garden, the salamanca plenty of space, large bathroom with bath and walk in shower.

Breakfasts are a real highlight with large choice of cereal and fresh friut to full English and everything in between.

If we return to Bath then we would have no hesitation in staying here again.

We spent a wonderful few days at Apsley House. We stayed in the Mornington Room on the lower floor; it was lovely with doors leading out onto the garden. EVERYTHING about our stay was great! This was due in no small part to the efforts of our excellent hosts, David and Steph. The attention to detail in all things made this a very special weekend. We enjoyed the walk into Bath both via the park and along the canal. The Boathouse was a handy place to eat; conveniently located with a simple but tasty menu and with a relaxing ambiance. We would definitely recommend Apsley House as THE place to stay in Bath.

Apsley house is a wonderful hotel in Bath. The property is beautiful, the rooms are lovely (and very clean), and the service is outstanding. The breakfast is an added bonus. You can walk to the center of town in about 20 minutes, but you pass through Royal Victoria park and can see the Royal Crescent and the Circus. It's a very nice walk.

I recommend this hotel and will certainly stay again the next time I visit Bath!
