“Did not want to leave!”
Reviewed 24 June 2012

Myself & my husband booked this place as the first part of our honeymoon. We booked the Wellington Room & it was devine. The staff were were friendly, the breakfast was out of this world & the overall hotel is delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & I did not want to leave! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to say in Bath. Can not wait to go back!

just got back from a 2 night stay at this wonderfull hotel booked this for a surprise for my wifes birthday, we had the morington room which is a great room with a very comftable 4 poster bed & big bathroom with shower & bath, there is also a private entrance to the well laid garden which was nice to sit out in. The breakfast served was of a very good standard. The staff were very helpfull and could not do enough for us during our stay. We would totally recommed this to anyone who wants to stay near Bath (about 10 mins drive to centre of town ).

I booked the Wellington Suite for my wife's birthday and it was amazing. We spent two days here and we had an amazing stay (my wife said it was better than our honeymoon). The staff were friendly and helpful to boot. We had mainly rain but it helps when you stay in a place like this. I would 100% recommend.

Room Tip: The Wellington was lovely with great views. Bathroom was a bit small but who cares.

My friend and I stayed in this lovely Bed and Breakfast to enjoy Bath. It was a twenty minute walk into Bath or a quick cab ride. The Inn was beautifully maintained with a nice garden out back.
We really enjoyed breakfast in their lovely breakfast room, they served some of the best breakfast our trip. My friend loved their "Full English" and I had their delicious porridge(my favorite), eggs, toast etc that you can order off a menu.
Bath is a wonderful city and it was so nice to have a wonderful and relaxing place to stay there!

We booked with high hopes given the praise from many reviewers on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed, and I think even surprised a bit at the lengths to which your hosts go to make you feel welcome. We stayed June 7-10 in the Garden Room. It is a very cozy downstairs room, the only quibble being a pretty small shower (offset by a big bath perhaps). The hotel itself is well maintained, historic and comes with a wonderful view of the surrounding hills. As others have noted, the town center is a bit of a hike (especially in the miserable weather we found unfortunately on our visit), but certainly can be done in about 20 easy minutes. Parking area serving the hotel is a little tight but more than adequate. The common area for lounging with a paper or evening drink at the honesty bar adjoins the truly English breakfast area. The service team is outstanding, and David will help you in any way possible and the staff in the dining room are very good. It makes you wonder why more hotels don't go the extra mile to make you feel welcome the way they do here. In sum, the hotel facilities and rooms are wonderful but the service is even better.

Room Tip: If you need a little extra room or have a 3rd person with you, note that the Garden Room has an adja...
