Firstly, we would like to thank the guests for their kind comments and taking time to write the review.
The guests did not mention anything during their stay or upon departure - neither about the price, cleanliness of the floor or requesting breakfast in the hotel dining room which on occasion is available; despite the fact the Coach House is advertised as self-catering unit (with complimentary breakfast hamper).
A deep clean had been done just before their arrival (the floor had been vacuumed, mopped and steamed throughout the entire apartment) so any dirt must have been from their own shoes and brought in. We strongly refute that it was not clean.
In addition, we believe that £55 per person for one night accommodation is a fair price for modern comforts we offer and perfect for families.
Finally, we were very happy to hear that our staff was welcoming and they have found the apartment stylish as we do pride ourselves in the level of customer service we provide, as well as in our accommodation being finished to a high standard. We only wish the guests have said something, so we could explain the above in person.

There are many reviews extolling the virtues of ApsleyHouse - and I just wanted to add my voice to them.
It's beautiful, it's quiet, it's comfortable, it's gracious and the staff are just superb. They really 'see' you and want to help in any way. In retrospect, despite all it's beauty, probably the staff are what makes Apsley House different. They have all the time in the world to assist and suggest and really want your experience in Bath to be perfect.
In terms of room suggestions - facing south and the garden and hills beyond is beautiful and very quiet ( we stayed in the Salamanca room) but can be hot on a hot day (no air conditioning). Facing North (we peeked at an empty room) faces the township but still a lovely view and I would imagine is still quiet. We would have been very happy in one of the northern facing rooms also. And all of the rooms are immaculate.
If returning to Bath, I would book Apsley House again and not bother looking anywhere else.

I've just spent two very relaxing nights here and I can highly recommend this beautiful house hotel. From the very informative greeting and check in to the delightful and hearty breakfasts, there is little else you could want. I stayed in the Peninsular Room which was comfortable and well presented as well as very quiet. The huge bed was gorgeous and the en-suite was very well done with lovely Molten Brown products. There was a different breakfast special each morning (kippers one day and a fancy cheese croissant the next) and you can tell that the ingredients are very fresh and seasonal. On both mornings my husband and I walked into Bath. It's not in the centre but it took about 25 minutes. To get back is more up hill so we took taxis which cost about £6.50. If I was to stay again (which I will) I'd like to try another room but only because they are all so unique. A perfect stay for my husbands first trip to Bath.

Room Tip: Each room is different so check each one out on the website first.

Just returned from a three night stay at the Apsley House Hotel, which was just perfect, from the welcoming friendly staff, to the magnificent breakfast each morning. This is maybe one of the smallest hotels we have stayed in but that made it even more charming. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the bedrooms were of a high standard. A twenty minute walk into Bath, meant you could leave your car at the hotel and not have to worry about parking. Would highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again one day!

We had an absolutely wonderful 6 days at Apsley House. The hospitality and graciousness of the hosts and staff are amazing. They were all so helpful (with getting around in our car, recommendations for where to go and where to eat, etc.). They made our stay perfect! My husband had lost his contact, and searching the entire suite including the floor, I can testify that Apsley House is extremely clean too! The accommodations are comfortable and decorated beautifully. We stayed in the Salamanca room at the top: I believe it has one of the best views! The panorama outside the windows was ever-changing and beautiful . . . what a delight to waken to each morning and see before falling asleep. And then there are the breakfasts. The daily specials were delicious, and there were so many options and "cooked to order" items too. Compliments to the chef! And the team of servers anticipated our every need. We enjoyed all the flowers outdoors and the pretty backyard, since we visited in midsummer. This is an excellent location from which to explore many areas of the midlands too: the Cotswolds, Wells, Salisbury, Old Sarum, Stonehenge, Avebury, many small delightful towns, and of course Bath!
Thank you Apsley House!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the backyard have delightful views!

We stayed at Apsley House Hotel last Saturday evening and had really enjoyable weekend despite the torrential downpour on the journey to the South West.

The welcome greeting we got from the manager was warm and friendly. She gave us a map of Bath and told us the most scenic route to take to walk into the city centre and what attractions we may like to visit. The Fashion Museum and the Roman Baths are a must to visit.

We stayed in the Romance room which was amazing with a four poster bed and great decoration and soft furnishings. there was also tea making facilities, a fridge and mini bar in our room.

My husband enjoyed his full English breakfast whilst I had a poached eggs and bacon muffin, both meals were superb.

It is apparent that a lot of hard work has been put into this hotel to maintain high standards and the management should give themselves a pat on the back.

Would we stay again? Yes,most definitely!
