We stayed for a month, myself, wife, and 7 year old. Bath is a dreamy place to visit. Although this place was not central, it was wonderfully quiet, and directly across the street was beautiful church St. Mary the Virgin. Every sunset made a beautiful play of light on the church through the main window of the apartment. We liked the location--it was a quiet twenty minute walk to central Bath, it was ten minutes to a small grocery and the Kennett and Avon Canal. The latter was its own entertainment, with many boats going up and down the locks. We ended up renting a canal boat for a day. Some small negatives: the shower was not quite warm enough given the size and openness of the bathroom. The heating system was baffling, at least to a North American. Three sides of the house did not have windows. This was rescued somewhat by the two skylights which let in tons of light on the upstairs floor. The kitchen was quite cramped--this was rescued somewhat by a very effective dishwasher. There was not quite enough tableware for us, but we used some things we brought. The positives outweighed the negatives, and I am sure we would stay there again if we had the opportunity.
