“Busy”
Reviewed 16 March 2014

There is so much to see and appreciate in architecture but unless you go midweek during the winter, you will have to cope with the crowds of tourists. It is always very busy.

“Beautiful city and certainly NOT trashy”
Reviewed 29 December 2013 via mobile

Bath is without doubt one of the most visually striking cities in Europe. In the Summer the buildings glow with this champagne coloured Aura, and if you walk around the streets in the morning, all you can hear is the faint bubbling of the Baths and the Abbeys bells, simply glorious. And to answer the reviewer below me.Bath is not dirty or Trashy in any shape or form!!!!!

“A Wonderful Place. Wonderful Combo of Historic sites, historic architecture and unique shopping”
Reviewed 3 December 2013

We found the Bath Historic area and the surrounding streets - filled with museums, historic sites, tours, shops and shopping, restaurants, street entertainment - to be an AMAZING experience.
In the maze of Bath Street, the historic highlights, & unique mix of shops, galleries, and boutiques - we found an enticingly enjoyable experience that 'made' our time in Bath.
Within the historic district - Bath Street - around the actual 'Baths', the Abbey, museums and theatre there is something for everyone. You can shop, tour, eat, or just sit back amongst the very well detailed street benched and flower pots and enjoy the wide variety of street entertainers or just people watch.
In the all too short time that we were in Bath (we actually came back a 2nd day because we had not seen enough or experienced enough) and just as street entertainers we enjoyed classical musicians, well done opera, soloists, Shakespeare recitals, magicians, modern dance, jugglers, etc., etc. The mix of shops and galleries and truly amazing. We came away with some amazing original art and glass blown items, collector pieces, amazing books, unique candy and travel munchies - and more!!!
The historic Bath Street / Roman Bath and Abbey area are a true highlight of the Bath experience. Retail businesses and busy as far as people yes...BUT you do not feel like you are in the stereotypical shopping mall - there is still history well incorporated at every turn.
