So me and my partner headed into town for the day and decided just to have a walk around and see where we ended up! We decided to walk further up town than we normally do and came across henrietta park.
We went on a sunny/showery day and to be honest it was beautiful! We sat in the very well kept garden which has a lovely pond which is surrounded by lots of wooden framing which has plants growing all over the top so the seating is practically undercover, this came in very handy when there was a brief shower and it was gorgeous watching the rain whilst we kept nice and dry! Also, the whole time we were there not a single person (apart from the gardener) came into the garden so it was kind of romantic! I would love to get married in the garden on a warm sunny day, it would be perfect!
I must say the garden is my favourite part of this park, not much else to it other than that, it is quite small but it really is a beautiful, well kept place. There was even a gardener working away whilst we walked around.
Overall, this is definately a must see if you are in bath and are walking towards the top of town as the garden (which is no dogs allowed) is just purely beautiful. I think the rest of the park allows dogs but the garden is secured off with fence. You can pass an hour or so just happily sat watching the wildlife then a short stroll around the rest of the park then you step out and are straight back into the hustle of bath city centre so you can go for a coffee! Perfect!
