Staying around the Bath area for a short break we went to Prior Park. Upon scanning our national trust cards we then we're greated by one of the volunteers (Lucy if my memory serves me well) we had a very informative and friendly introduction to prior park and were talked over the map. The National Trust are made up of volunteers like Lucy but her in perticular was one of the best.
Prior park itself was idealic and picturesque. We could have spent the whole day sitting and admiring the views.

Stunning scenery and a lovely park to walk around. Cute cafe facilities available -although a tad pricey. We aren't NT members and were given the sales pitch upon arriving - slightly unnecessary, we didnt know much about the place and just fancied popping in as it was a glorious day. Not spend £120 to sign up! Still quite expensive for what it was. It's well looked after, but not particularly huge so good if you are just looking to fill an hour or two- shame it costs so much to do so.

£7 for a hours walk around a not very impressive garden. A couple of nice views and that’s about it. Don’t go thinking you will get a nice lunch as the new tea hut doesn’t even do sandwiches. I am a member of the National Trust And won’t be recommending this site to anyone.

We're sorry to hear you weren't impressed by your recent visit to the garden. Although our the Tea Shed doesn't have the capacity to provide sandwiches, we do offer a range of cakes, scones and ice-creams. Prior Park Landscape Garden offers the chance for visitors to see an intimate 18th-century landscape garden that was designed by the poet Alexander Pope for Bath entrepreneur and businessman Ralph Allen. It is our aim to keep this representation of the garden as accurate as possible and many of the garden's original features, the rare Palladian Bridge, the serpentine, the ice house and the ruins of the thatched cottage can still be seen today.

What a hidden gem. Lovely views of Bath. A beautiful place to walk around. Lots of steps too. Some ways okay for wheelchairs.
