From the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful offering to unload our luggage in light rain. We stayed for only one night but can highly recommend this hotel. The room was larger than expected with nice decor. The breakfast was very good and the young staff bright, engaging and exceptionally attentive and helpful. We thought great value for money.

Tucked away just off Pulteney Street this is an excellent small hotel. It is very well placed for Bath centre. Rooms, service and breakfast faultless - great attention to detail, the owners have evidently put great deal of thought and care into presentation. Only downside is limited parking, not uncommon in Bath.

Room Tip: They all seem to be good, each very differennt.

Henrietta House is perfectly situated to explore Bath. We had a small double room which was very small, but all facilities were present and a single room which was lovely. The small double was at the front of the house on the road, which although is a quiet road, in the early hours there was some noise from people walking by. The house itself is very peaceful and quiet. You are given lovely homemade biscuits, spa water and fruit in your room as well as the usual teas and coffees. Sheets are beautiful cotton.

Breakfast was well presented and very pleasant, service was first rate. Lovely home cooked food of very high quality.

We would love to return.

What superb accommodation. Very friendly, helpful staff whilst booking and on arrival. Fantastic building. My daughter and I were in the top floor 'servants quarters' which had been well decorated and was cosy and comfortable. Lovely bathroom with all fittings in keeping with the building. If I have a small niggle it was that there were venetian blinds at the window and no curtains. At this time of year it unfortunately meant that it was very light, very early.; an eye mask would be useful! Breakfast was faultless. We both really enjoyed a full English and there was a good array of homemade preserves, a choice of individual pots of salted/unsalted butter, freshly squeezed juice.....need I go on? Excellent. We took a parking space to the rear of the hotel beside a garage. It was a short walk away. This was useful as the parking permits do not mean you can actually be outside the hotel - you could be quite a way up the road or by the park. Not necessarily a problem, but we had heavy items to carry from the car so made life easier knowing we were quite close. Parking in Bath is otherwise very expensive! The centre of the city and the Abbey were only a five minute walk away. I would happily recommend Henrietta House and would gladly stay there again; it was so much nicer than staying at a large faceless chain hotel, no matter how good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front of the hotel.

This hotel has a really convenient location for exploring the city of Bath. Our breakfast was also quite delicious. I think my reluctance on this place is twofold 1) They didn't have our correct reservation on the books and weren't terribly apologetic about it, and 2) I felt as though the facilities were pretty basic considering the cost. But the family suite which we used on the top floor was super convenient for our family and included a sitting room!

I've just returned from a fantastic stay at Henrietta House with my elderly mother. The hotel reception was so welcoming and were kind and respectful to my mother who is very frail. The location is perfect - walking distance from Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, a great selection of wonderful restaurants and traditional tea shops. There's also an amazing choice of restaurants, pubs and cafés nearby.

The breakfast was delicious with home-made granola, freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruit salad, home-made croissants, breads, jams and cake plus home-made jams. Also a selection of omelettes/scrambled eggs with smoked salmon/ bacon /sausage. All gorgeous!!

Arrived at 2pm and parked up in their very small car park (but happy that for £12.50 my car was "safe" for 24 hrs) and we had a lovely night in this atmospheric place. Big and cleean rooms with real window shutters. Nobody on duty overnight but everyone was quiet and locked the front door behind them. Next day, plenty of hot water and breakfast was very nice. All the staff friendly and happy to help. This is a very good place to stay but at £135, for me it was not cheap !.

Room Tip: Upstairs, at the back was lovely and quiet. No noise at all (apart from Mr Snoralot next to me !)
