Description: Boston Tea Party is a small family owned independent cafe group serving simple well-prepared food & drinks made with great ingredients, skill and love. Ethically sourced, affordable, feel-good & excellent quality - made from scratch onsite everyday by people who care about what they do. Bath is our smallest & possibly busiest cafe with rarely a spare seat & usually a queue out the door. The quintessential place to watch the world go by, perfectly perched on the edge of a busy Bath square with loads of outside seating & near all the gorgeous Georgian stuff that makes Bath so popular.

I don't tend to drink coffee in the UK much because I find it far too bitter and unpleasant but after not much sleep decided for the caffeine hit and got 2 flat whites for myself and my friend. Fantastic idea. The barista not only knew how to brew an espresso with a proper crema but also knew how to pour the milk without ruining it and created a pleasing rosetta on top. Not only that but the coffee didn't have any of the usual bittersweet taste of coffee in the uk, instead tasting vaguely of marzipan and fruitcake. Definitely an improvement.

For brunch we got "The Boss" and Eggs Benedict. The Boss is basically a traditional fry up with a haircut, shave, and wearing a nice suit. Really, really nice and definitely filling. The potatoes and sausage were especially excellent, and the staff allowed my friend to swap his white pudding for an extra sausage at the point of order.

The eggs benedict were perfect. Poached eggs with the whites thoroughly cooked but the yolks still runny. Made with really nice eggs too, with a lovely dark-orange yolk. Excellent hollandaise sauce, rich and buttery.

The location in the square is a fantastic place to sit and people watch as well. My friend and I sat there for 2 hours after we were finished and watched the world go by just idly chatting.

Definitely one of my favourite brunches of all time.

Thank you very much for your awesome review. We take great pride in providing not only the best service possible, but naturally the best quality of product and we are extremely happy to hear we managed to deliver. Also, that has to be the best description of The Boss ever! And yes, we occupy quite a lovely little corner of the world, a neat, cosy little place to kick back and watch the worlds go by. Once again, we are very happy you enjoyed your visit and hope we see you more often!

I'd visited the Boston Tea Party for a cuppa in Bristol before this visit, so was delighted to see one in Bath. My boyfriend and I were hunting for a decent brunch - and we were not let down here. There was a great choice, from both lighter breakfast options to full cooked breakfasts. He opted for a new item on the menu: The Boss. Basically this was a huge cooked breakfast, which he demolished at a worrying speed with a huge grin on his chops. I opted for the veggie breakfast, which was lovely - although sadly I discovered some bacon rind on my plate, which was kind of laughed off by the staff. Having said that, the staff were lovely and friendly, and I just love the place - the decor, the atmosphere, and the lovely little touches such as the delicious freshly squeezed orange juice, served in little jar like glasses. I hope the Boston Tea Party shops spread to the east of England.. we need you!

Thank you very much for your lovely review. We're glad you enjoyed your visit here as much as you have in our Bristol branches. (And yes, it is worrying the speed at which some people can get through a Boss!) We're very sorry to hear that you felt the issue with bacon rind was laughed off. We can assure you that we take this kind of thing seriously and it was not our intent to appear blasé about the issue. It is reassuring to know that this didn't have too much of an effect on the enjoyment of your visit. Also, year on year we continue to expand, so keep an eye out, we may conquer the east yet!

There are few places we have come across where the staff seem genuinely happy, here was the exception. Friendly staff, entertaining banter, clean environment in spite of it clearly being busy. Yes we had a wait for food of 20 mins, however we were informed of this at the time of placing the order, so no issues there. Well presented and super yummy, would suggest good value for the pennies spent. I mention service with a smile and a song... the lovely girl taking the orders engaged every customer with a genuine smile and playful chat, and in between times made merry attempting to put together a rap about a wrap! My only wish is that we had a Boston Tea Party closer to home. Thanks to all the staff for making it such a pleasant meal out during our visit to Bath.

It is worth hunting out the Boston Tea Party and getting there early to have breakfast/lunch - the food is wonderful. A really very tasty wholesome delicious supersalad, properly dressed, and scrumptious pulled pork burger in a hoisin sauce were the two things we tried from the menu with excellent coffees, and water/glasses are available at the side which is a great touch. Thoroughly recommend.
