Set in a pretty courtyard, it looks ideal. The staff are nice and helpful but the service is very slow. This is in part due to the ordering system. You stand in a long queue, place your order, carry your drinks back to your table and wait with a buzzer. When your buzzer goes off, wave frantically at the waiter looking around! We ordered an egg baguette (nice bread and salad but megre filling), a portion of chips, an orange juice (which was warm) and a glass of wine. I know this is the centre of Bath, but it still seemed a lot to me! The cakes and dessets look nice and the place was spotlessly clean. The location however, is great. You'd never know you were in the middle of town. A nice spot for a coffee.

I'm very sorry the service was a little slow. August has been exceptionally busy due to the beautiful weather we have enjoyed. I'm sure it's not much fun standing in a queue but we have done our best through this crazy period.
The orange juice is not chilled because it is freshly squeezed to order. Next time do ask for ice as we are always happy to oblige.

Two members of staff on a busy day really isn't enough to take orders and prepare drinks and food...

I do apologise. It has been exceptionally busy due to the amazing weather. Sometimes we have been caught short since it has been amazing but inconsistent, making staffing rather difficult to judge. Many thanks.

The location is lovely and our lunch when it arrived was good but considering we only ordered a sandwich and a jacket potato it took far too long (about 20 minutes!). Disappointing experience, quelle dommage!!

Sorry things were a little slow. We haven't expected the good weather to continue so have put off hiring more staff. There is nothing worse than hiring people then having to fire them again when the inevitable rain kicks in. In the meantime we are doing our best and will endeavour to improve our speed of service. Hope to see you soon.

We love this place, it gives you the opportunity to eat outside whatever the weather in a lovely central location. The food and service is always consistent and the daily specials varied. The crab salad with a cold glass of Pinot Grigio always hits the spot before or after hitting the shops. Love it!!
