I am so pleased that Trip Advisor have at last checked out Cavendish Cooks so I can review it. Here goes -
We stumbled across this restaurant on a short stay in Bath, we couldn't belive the board that said "Come inside and enjoy our Boeuf Bourguignon or Coq au Vin with crusty bread and a glass of house wine for £7" The aroma coming from the kitchen was delightful and authentic; we entered the kitchen diner of the Cavendish Cooks, Rebecca and Nancy who gave us a warm welcome.
We sat at a large table where three others were seated and tucked into out lunches, cut thick slices of delicious bread from a large crusty loaf and poured ourselves a glass of wine each. Wonderful, just like being at home!
all finished off with delicious Bakewell tart (on the house) and freshly brewed coffee (£2 for a large pot that gave 2 cups each)
Ann and I were bowled over by this place and will definitely be going back next time we are in Bath - this is quality without frills.
