We called in to get a few cakes to take away as they looked very tempting.
We were not in a hurry so didn't mind the wait but it did take almost 15 minutes to get served and there was only one person in front of us.
The one girl serving was having to wait tables and serve for take away food and the place was full.
people came in behind us, complained and left because it was taking so long, so they are losing business by not investing in extra staff
The views across the River are great, but not enough to make up for the lack of service so I wouldn't go back. Shame, because the cakes were as tasty as they looked.

The view is so special you should just get some tea and sit and relax.

There are a few window tables and if you are lucky you'll be able to sit and savor the view.

The food and service are very good; the only negative is that it is small and can get very crowded when children and buggies come in.

Ordered full English breakfast at 11.20am.. Still waiting at 12pm. Questioned with the waitress, she enquired. Reported back to us and stated order had been forgotten about! So me and my partner decided we wait a further 15 mins as the waitress instructed. 35 mins later.. Still no food. Asked another waitress how long breakfast will take.. She enquired and said exactly what was said previously... "Oh sorry the other waitress has forgotten your order too" so best we can do is give you a refund. I put this down to racial issue!!

Apparently there are two cafes adjacent to each other on Pulteney Bridge, both related and perhaps co-managed. We went to the smaller shop on the left.

There was only one young lady staffing the cafe; she was the cashier, server, cleaner. We came on a Tuesday late afternoon after visiting Bath Cathedral, hungry and lured by the pastries in the window.

She was fairly slow, but sweet and helpful. We tried to order the summer berries sherbet but it was out (flavors are displayed in chalk---surely it could be erased?). Tried the honey and the chocolate ice creams, both of which were wonderful. The chocolate milk shake was extremely slow in coming.

The Cornish pasty was cold and just average. However, the croissants and the fruit cakes were delicious. They hit the spot.

The cafe is small and seating is limited. Views out the window, from the south side of the bridge, were small but spectacular, especially at sunset.
