Charged the wrong amount and when we asked if there was a mix up they were rudely claiming it was right. Perhaps the staff should take some basic maths lessons, learn how to use a till or don't display the prices on the board if they want to just make it up as they go anyway! Overall not a warm atmosphere and drink was bairly half full! No wonder people go to costa and Starbucks - at least it's consistent!

My wife and I visited this establishment on Saturday 8th February 2014 for a drink of hot chocolate to warm up on a very wet and cold day. During our brief visit we observed very poor hygene from one of the girls serving food, i.e handling food with bare hands, no use of tongs or gloves. Also playing around with her hair after putting her fingers in her mouth and then handling food again without washing. Upon checking the Food Standards Agency website this establishment was given only a 2 rating following an inspection on 17/4/2013 and told that improvement was needed. Since our visit I have placed a formal complaint to the local area Food Standards Agency. This establishment doesnt display it's food standards agency rating, I wonder why? Needless to say the hot chocolate was also poor!!!!!

This coffee shop is unique as it is situated on one of only 3 bridges in the world to have shops on it. As a result, there is a wonderful view of the river which flows underneath the shop. The prices are quite dear but the coffee was nice and the food fresh and tasty. The dining area was warm and cosy, making this a nice place for lunch on a cold & rainy afternoon.

We called in to get a few cakes to take away as they looked very tempting.
We were not in a hurry so didn't mind the wait but it did take almost 15 minutes to get served and there was only one person in front of us.
The one girl serving was having to wait tables and serve for take away food and the place was full.
people came in behind us, complained and left because it was taking so long, so they are losing business by not investing in extra staff
The views across the River are great, but not enough to make up for the lack of service so I wouldn't go back. Shame, because the cakes were as tasty as they looked.

The view is so special you should just get some tea and sit and relax.

There are a few window tables and if you are lucky you'll be able to sit and savor the view.
