Absolutely my favourite place to get lunch in Bath. The quaint little shop serves sandwiches, toasties and salads and provides a great selection for someone like myself with specific dietary requirements (vegetarian, lactose and oat intolerant). On the ground floor there are a variety of art, gifts and jewellery for sale; the first floor houses the cafe and the second floor doubles up as a one-room gallery. Perfect for a light lunch.

a friend and I dropped by because most of the cafes in Bath were closing by 430pm but this one was still open and we were craving some (late) afternoon tea.

located above an attractive little shop selling fairtrade gifts, jewellery, ornaments, home deco and other trinklets, Coral Quay cafe offers a pretty good selection of cakes including brownies and flapjacks. i think you can get hot sandwiches too.

the staff were a friendly bunch and i think this is a really good place to catch up with a friend for coffee and chat for long hours.

This time round I went for for the MExican Street Salad - marvelous choice with an interesting blend of ingredients. Chicken, Avocado, Grapefruit and nuts on a generous bed of leaves :) Wasn't too sure about the mango chilli dressing (not much chilli, if any) but at least they didn't drown the salad in it. Nope, it was all contained in a sweet little pot at the side of the plate.
I'm thoroughly recommending this place for vegetarians too - The African Fireside salad looks amazing (plenty of veg and lemon-coriander chickpeas), to name one, and there's a nice selection of soups, toasties and sandwiches too (now including vegan options too)
From memory I might add that the coffee is an absolute treat and they do have a fair selection of cakes for those of you with a sweet tooth. Needless to say the fact that everything is fairtrade is an added bonus :)

We popped into the Coral Quay Cafe for coffee and cake when visiting Bath- drawn to it by the fact that it was fair trade. The staff were friendly, it was very clean, quiet and provided a range wide range of Fair trade coffees and other products. The cakes selection was good and provided gluten free and organic options.
