“Used to be a favourite”

Been here a few times in the last year or so. It seems to be a little more pricey than I remember and the flatbreads smaller? Delicious food but not as good value for money as I was always led to believe. Also £3.50 for cake to take away seems a little steep - it looked delicious and the texture/moisture was amazing but it didn't taste too much of chocolate.

I hate being negative but I as disappointed on my last visit.

Hi Vicci88

Firstly I would like to apologize that your experience was not pleasant in our establishment and would like to invite you back.
In regards to the value for money we believe in consistency and fresh produce. we don't use any frozen bought in produce but its all made and cooked on the premises. Prices did go up about 5 months ago for first time in over two years, which considering that most of other businesses review and up their prices once or even twice a year, is pretty good. Our flatbreads have not changed in size, if that happened in your case we would like the opportunity to make it up for our mistake. All our cakes are made to exact measurements every time, in your case you have had chocolate cake which is made of two layers of chocolate packed sponge cake and iced with more chocolate icing, our portions of cake are rather generous as we often find that our customers sometimes struggle to finish a slice of chocolate cake hence the price of £3.20 seems fair. We appreciate and consider your feedback and hope to see you soon.

Best regards,
Andrej

“Best place for lunch in Bath”
Reviewed 27 April 2014 via mobile

The most delicious flatbreads and salads i have ever tasted. Reasonably priced, gets very busy so best to go for an early or late lunch to be sure you will find a table.

“Lovely little independent cafe”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

Had delicious flat breads. No queueing, few tables outside (although not in the sun). Service was great and able to take away what we couldnt manage. Would definitely recommend it. Access may be difficult with a buggy or wheelchair as down steps.

“Definately a one off”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

A busy little Veggie café tucked away just off the main high street. Very individual in terms of the building the menu and the great food. Staff friendly and overall a great experience. NOT the place to come if you like bland corporate sameness offered by the big name chains wherever you are in the world
