“Fantastic stay, great staff & brilliant location!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 October 2012

i would liek to thank the staff at the Holiday Inn Express Bath as they really made my weekend! We were visiting Bath mainly for a family doo but definately enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was close to the great shops and easy walking distance approx 10mins from lovely restaurant and bars. The staff were very helpful in giving us a map and directions into town so we could leave our car in their car park (which saved us money!) i would definately recommend this hotel as its convenient, great value for money and the staff are great!

A 15-minute walk from the city centre, the main advantage of the location is adjacency to the Sainsbury shop. Aside from sloppy instant scrambled egg, the food was perfectly acceptable and the rooms exceptionally clean. The staff responded instantly to any queries or requests, and the hotel is completely suitable for any disabled guests. Facilities are standard for a three-star, and tourists seeking value-for-money should probably look elsewhere, but personally, had no cause for complaint.

Room Tip: Book at off-peak times

Excellent location as it takes about 15 minutes to walk into to the City Centre from this hotel. It's an easy walk to the shops and restuarants. Good wheelchair accessible room, plenty of space to manouver wheelchair. Bathroom was ok, but smelt slightly damp and musty, which I did mention to reception, as I think there was a leak under the floor tiles. Some of the grouting was very black and the floor near the toilet was alway wet. Staff where very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very busy and on the first morning we had to sit in the reception lounge area as there were no tables free. Going to breakfast a little later was the answer to finding a free table.

Room Tip: The room we had was on the ground floor which makes sense as it was wheelchair accessible with lots...

Thank you for your recent review following your stay with us here at the Holiday Inn Express Bath. It is through feedback from our guests that we are able to improve our standards and services that we deliver to ensure customer satisfaction.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed your visit to our lovely city of Bath and our location was suitable for your trips.

Thank you for reporting the maintenance issue with bathroom floor, which has now been rectified with our in-house maintenance team.

Due to our hotel being very popular within Bath, it can result in breakfast being very busy within the allocated times especially as it is complimentary. We do encourage all our guests to avoid the peak breakfast times to ensure a pleasant breakfast experience is had by all.

Once again thank you for your feedback and we hope to welcome you back to the Holiday Inn Express Bath in the near future!

Service very good, room clean but a little small for the price compared to premiere inn. Staff very friendly and could not be more helpfull. My only disapointment was the toaster which needed adjusting as it either did not toast or burnt toast.(i mean black toast). I mentioned it on the two mornings but the lady just shrugged shoulders and grinned, sounds petty but i dont eat cooked breakfast so missed out a bit i payed for. I will stay again at this hotel however.

I stayed a few weeks ago and have used this hotel for both business and pleasure. Its consistent good level of customer care especially when checking in, the checkout on this occasion was a little frosty (perhaps it was a bad morning). The cleanliness as always was good, Breakfast was busy as normal but staff kept everything well stocked up.

Overall, not a bad hotel but too expensive for what it was. Almost 130 GBP per night for a small functional room, an adequate breakfast and dodgy wifi. Comparable with Premier Inn - clean, functional but overpriced. Would stay here again if I got a better rate but would not recommend at full rate

I stayed here with my family when we vacationed in the UK in May 2012. The location is good; not far from the sights. The rooms though are small, smaller than those in comparable hotels. Breakfast was not bad though the variety, portions and the size of the dining room could have been better. However, for a night's stay it was decent value. There is a good Indian restaurant just across the street where the food was very good.
