Although busy, the reception staff were extremely efficient and helpful, willingly taking the time to provide a map and indicate the best walking route into Bath centre, about 10 minutes walk away. The room was very clean and of the standard that you expect from this chain, but Bath prices are very high, so £92 for a room was steep. I knew parking was an extra £6 and,to be honest, lots of hotels now charge and it's impossible to park in Bath itself, so this seems fair enough. What was unfair was that our companion, who is in a wheelchair, also had to pay for her space. Surely parking for disabled peolpe should be free? She also reported that the seat in the shower was pocket-handkerchief sized and very difficult to sit on and retain her balance when trying to shower. The sink in her multi-access room was also the standard height so impossible for her to reach in a chair. PLEASE get a person who is disabled and in a wheelchair to advise you on your room and hotel designs!
