We went on this tour last night and it is true that it stopped halfway through as there was a problem with aspects of it not being set up due to a staff member being awol... The guide was clearly very embarrassed by this and profusely apologized before providing everyone refunds for the whole walk, offering to buy the group (about 20 people) drinks at a nearby pub and offering free tickets if anyone wanted to do the walk in future. He advised that in 23 years of doing the walk this had only happened twice before and on both times it had been because the colleague had been in A&E due to motorbike accidents. Having looked forward to the walk all day yes it was a big disappointment, but hey these things happen and sometimes you just have to be a bit mature and understanding - on walking towards the pub with the guide and after most of the crowd had left it was clear that he was actually very concerned for the wellbeing of his colleague and had tried to hide it in front of the group. I have previously done the tour and it is VERY funny - will certainly take the guide up on his offer of a free tour tour in future.
