We were invited to a friends wedding last Saturday, and decided to head to Bath on the Friday night rather than risk getting caught in traffic on the day. Having booked a room up way ahead of schedule, we later decided we'd like to make a long weekend of it, and extend our stay an extra night. The owners were very accommodating and more than happy to oblige us.
We arrived about 8:30 on the Friday night, and were greeted by Harry who helped us to our room (up on the top floor) with our luggage, and then took me down to a parking space a little distance from the house.
It's a five minute walk down into Bath, so it's pretty much central (although it is - as the name suggests - on a hill, so it's a bit of a climb back!)
The room was a decent size, with a very comfortable bed and an enormous bathroom with a large shower (no bath though).
The owners were charming and friendly and gave us advice on places to eat out, and after my wife volunteered us to walk their dog Jasper, gave us a walking route down by the canal and river which showed both of us a part of Bath we'd never seen before.
Breakfast was excellent, I had the full English every day, which I'd highly recommend, but there was always a different cooked option, as well as the usual fruit and cereal options.
Only caveat, if you're a little unsteady on your feet, you might want to specify not to have the top two rooms as the staircase is a little narrow.
I'd recommend this place highly, the guys have done a great job renovating the house and made our stay very welcoming.

The modernisation has been sympathetically undertaken to retain as much of the period of charm of the property as possible. The property now has six en suite letting rooms located one at the front and one at the back on each of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of the property. All bedrooms are equipped with newly appointed shower rooms, 32” digital Televisions, hairdryers and free wifi. The more the stairs the better the views from the rooms across Bath to the countryside beyond!Breakfast is served in our dining room on one large table, where reccomendations of what to see and where to eat are shared. Besides a choice of cereals etc we also offer a choice of two cooked breakfasts per day which vary throughout the week.
