Lovely service, fab loose tea, cheese scones can be recommended. Very vintage, reminiscent of my Nan's forty years ago.

“Lots of potential”
Reviewed 6 June 2012

This 1930's/40's themed cafe has only been open a month and is doing well.

We had afternoon tea served in mismatched cups and saucers served to us by very polite waitresses. The price is reasonable and if you're after something a bit different it's definitely worth a trip.

My top tips for the cafe would be-

1: Serve a pot of hot water for those ordering tea- the tea leaves stew quickly
2: The waitresses are dressed in a very confusing style- one was wearing a mini skirt and both wore sparkly tiara type headbands. Maybe a thought about how this could be brought into more in keeping with the time period?
3: The lady I assume was the owner was quite rude and loud to her staff about what they weren't doing correctly. I felt that this, if it had to be done at all, should be done privately.
4: There is a huge cabinet on the wall with nothing in it, while at the other end of the cafe which many are likely to miss, is a huge wall covered in fantastic posters.

“Bea's Tea Room in Bath - excellent food ambience and hostess”
Reviewed 20 May 2012

We stumbled upon the newley opened Bea's Vintage Tea Room near the Fashion Museum and thought the food, decor and service- espeically from the owner herself was terrific - quality food( and a resonable price. I was told by my husband who paid!)
