We are friends of the owners, but we visited for the first time yesterday and were delighted by this characterful and friendly place. The scones in particular were exceptional - warm, crisp on the outside, and light as a feather on the inside - we've eaten a fair few scones in our lives and these are definitely up there with the very best. Cakes were moist and delicious, served in big slices.. The Bartons cream tea was very good value at £7.85 for your choice of tea, two scones, jam and cream and two slices of cake, (described as small, but actually very generous). Good service from smiley young staff.
