“Well-appointed house, ideal location, friendly owner”
Reviewed 9 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Lovely, 2-bedroom house in quiet street about 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Bath. The house is well-appointed, spotlessly clean and has a nice little collection of DVDs, books and board games. Comfy beds, lovely welcome tray, pretty garden. It's an ideal location for exploring Bath on foot - you can just leave the car parked outside and set off! Mr Keyford, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

“Quiet but easy walking to city centre”
Reviewed 7 April 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We enjoyed our stay here. The property is an interesting mix of period and modern features. The garden is lovely and traffic noise minimal. Great location if you like quiet nights but want to walk to all Bath's attractions. Owner very helpful and everything was clean & in good working order. We found the work surfaces a bit small for cooking. The dining table was small too. The lounge sofas were rather shallow in depth and though OK were not very comfortable. The beds were rather hard, we like sprung mattresses. Not sure what these were. Would have used washing machine but couldn't find any powder and shops quite a distance to get some quickly. Overall this is a good property with potential to be excellent.

Management Response
20 Apr 2017
Dear Diane,
I am really pleased that you liked some aspects of the property and surroundings. However, I am a little disappointed that not everything was as you would have liked.
You have commented that the kitchen work surfaces were a bit small. In all honesty, this is the first time anyone has provided such feedback. I can only say that I am sorry it wasn’t enough for you.
You also mention that the dining table was too small. The table is in fact an extending dining table. It can comfortably seat up to 6 people.
In your review you also mention that the sofas and beds were not very comfortable. This is very disappointing to hear, we spent some time trying to select items that would be comfortable and pleasing. In order to add balance to this issue I would urge any potential guests to look at our other reviews. In almost every case the opinions expressed are in stark contrast.
I can only apologise for the lack of washing powder in the property. I will make sure that we add it to the list of complimentary products that we already leave for guests, which includes: tea, coffee, hot chocolate, a choice of milk, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, kitchen paper, magazines, tour guides and maps. I would like to stress though, that although we try to provide a range of complimentary products we are in fact self-catering accommodation.
For note, there is a McColl’s convenience store just a 2 minute walk from the property on Bathwick Street. This store does indeed stock washing powder along with the other bare essentials.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our property.
Best regards,
Mark Keyford.

“Great location & an excellent choice”
Reviewed 8 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Booked for short break, the location is great for Bath with no driving involved. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. Mark was very helpful and made it easy. I have already recommended this to my friends and if you do go and book you will not be disappointed
