Description: Café & Coffee Shop in Bath We offer a variety of teas and coffee to drink here or takeaway, as well as a choice of food options. Our welcoming staff will always respond to a special request. Local Seasonal Produce The delicious food prepared and sold at the Bear Pad uses seasonal local produce. Bath was the home of the first UK farmers market and has a wealth of small local growers. Unique Pop Up Space Each month we highlight the work of one of the many local artists. We also sell cards, jewellery and small artworks by local makers. Walking into the City On the popular Bear Flat, and only a fascinating short walk from the bus and railway stations, the Bear Pad café serves locally sourced food. It is also easily accessible to bus users and cyclists.

“New but not good”
Reviewed 11 January 2014

We had 2 scones and 2 teas. The scones were poor for a cafe, not half as good as Sainsburys. The did not look very good but looks can be deceptive, but not in this case. Poor value at £7

“A great local cafe.”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

A very good local café. About a 10/15 minute walk from the railway/bus station, up a fairly steep hill; but it's a pleasant walk and the café is a good stop off point if you're visiting Alexandra Park with it's wonderful view over the city. Specialises in offering locally grown produce, and serves breakfast, lunch (I can recommend the stilton/cranberry sandwich), and good cakes. The Bear Pad also exhibits the work of local artists/craftspeople, has WiFi connection, and it's opposite the wonderful Rolfey's, affordable antique shop, which is always good for a browse.

“Great breakfasts for Goldilocks”
Reviewed 18 December 2013

Breakfast, lunch and just coffee and cake all enjoyed thoroughly here. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Perusing the local produce and art available to buy make the visit even more enjoyable.
