We stayed for one night in this really quite exquisite B&B hotel and the only disappointment was that there were no rooms available to extend our stay. We were welcomed most warmly by Anna who was most helpful where to visit/eat, etc. in Bath. She led us to our room (no. 6) which is beautifully appointed with a four poster and superb views over the city. The breakfast (we opted for the full English) was probably the best we have ever had. The courtesy, quality, attention to detail and service provided during our all too short a stay was an object lesson of how to run a hotel/B&B. There is absolutely no doubt that a return visit is on the cards. To all at Grays, thank you very much and keep up the excellent work.

What can be said that hasn't been said before? If you plan to stay in Bath then do yourselves one little favour and stay here! It is a beautiful town house looking over Bath with an interior decor to die for. We had a room at the top of the house, and it was spotlessly clean and super comfortable. All the little details were taken care of, there was a generous drinks station with a couple of kitkats (winner!), powerful shower in an ensuite that looked like it was fresh from the showroom and a really comfy bed.

If you stay here for any reason at all, then make it the breakfast. Served in a lovely dining room, fresh (home-made I'm guessing) bread, fruit, pastries and a delicious cooked breakfast (the eggs benedict is really rather good) washed down with lashings of fresh coffee. We didn't need lunch...

The staff are all too keen to give handy tips as to where to go in Bath (The gin bar is a must)

Oh, and the parking is secure and off-street, which is always nice.

'My Aunt and her husband totally gutted the place a year ago" said nephew Jamie when I inquired about the beautiful design features and craftsmanship featured in the very comfortable Boutique inn located in the Hills overlooking this wonderful 18th century vacation village. Everything was perfect from the comfortable crisp linens, down pillows, elegant sunny breakfast room where generous breakfasts were served each morning. I was particularly taken by the wonderful workmanship done in the remodel to make this 100 year old building beautifully contemporary, from the clean and elegant lines, to the contrasting wall hangings and two tone painted halls which lead to the bedrooms on three floors above. The baths were sparkling with individual robes, and sleekly styled sinks and showers. Although it was a bit of a walk to the city center, the quiet an still garden allowed us to sleep peacefully with the windows opened all night, snuggled beneath the cozy down comforter. I would definitely stay here again should I return to this wonderful city.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor (American third, European second) so without an elevator it may be diff...

My husband and I travelled through the UK and stayed at Grays Bath B&B for one evening 27 June 2014.
We arrived at the train station and took a taxi to the B & B. You can walk but it is up hill and about 25min with luggage.
Grays is ideally situated, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close to everything. We booked room 11 and had the most gorgeous views of the city.
The room was beautifully designed and the choice in décor was special with attention to detail. The room was spacious and clean with an on suite bathroom with shower.
The manager and staff was very friendly and helpful.
Thank you for a lovely stay and all the help.

Room Tip: The top rooms have views of the city and you can open the window. There are a few stairs to get to t...

We stayed in one of the top floor rooms; a good size and really lovely decor. The room is done out in muted colours, with a large comfortable bed and quality linens. It's tranquil and comfortable. The ensuite is OCD clean and has an excellent shower with a good selection of toiletries.
It's situated only a 10-15 min walk from Bath city centre, and has free parking, which is difficult to find in Bath. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
They also offer a package for the Thermae Spa, which if you're in Bath is a must to visit.
The breakfast was superb, lots of fresh fruit, and a plenty of choice of hot food, which is cooked to order.
I could not recommend Grays highly enough and would definitely choose to stay there again.

Room Tip: Go to Grays own website for room selection - there are photos for each - and the prices are the same...

My husband and I spent one night at Grays and the stay was absolutely wonderful. Everything was of excellent quality. The hotel was in a great location, just a short walk to the centre. The room itself was lovely, the decor was simple and clean yet still felt warm and we had lovely views over the city. The service we received throughout was impeccable. Overall it was an amazing, flawless stay.

Room Tip: We chose to go for the city view room, it was worth it wth lovely views across Bath and was a nice...

Grays Boutique is a place a little outside the city of Bath Spa. Your only main problem getting there might be the walk uphill (if you're not driving). Apart from that, from the pleasant staff, to the decoration of the whole place, the comfiness and cleanliness of the room, the tasty breakfast, I could not find a single fault with this place. Will most definitely come again when the opportunity arieses!
