We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing weekend break at Abbey Rise in June 2014. Katherine's attention to detail was evident. We were so pleased to have found a B & B of this standard and price.
My fiance is on the Dukan Diet and Katherine catered for his dietary needs. She also catered for mine- the homemade cake on the climb up to bed was more than welcome. Oh and the bed, was so comfy with snow white sheets and a marshmallow of a duvet.
This B & B exceeds the standard of many hotels we have stayed in.
We will return.
Thank you Katherine.

Have recently stayed in the small double room for 4 nights. Situated at the rear of the house, there is no traffic noise. Yes, the room is smallish, probably eqivalent to a second double room in an average house but it has a comfortable double bed, and en-suite shower and toilet. In a B & B the room is for sleeping and for a short stay this fitted the bill perfectly. Katherine's breakfast was a joy, fresh fruit, cereals, toast with wonderful home-made strawberry jam and choice of cooked breakfast not just confined to how we wanted our eggs cooked. Abbey Rise is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Bath and Katherine was able to point us in the right direction for whatever we wanted to do. It is also one of the few B B's in Bath to have it's own private off-road parking, a real plus point.

The room was well decorated, clean, the beds were very comfortable and big fluffy towels. Fresh milk and chilled water is available on request and some rather yummy chocolate brownies. Katherine was very helpful and booked a table for us for Saturday night. Bath is very busy at the weekends, and it is sensible to book for a table for Saturday night dining. Parking is available (big bonus for a B&B so close to the centre), and the City is a short walk down the hill. Nice selection for breakfast - fresh fruit and yogurt, salmon and scrambled eggs and full English, plus breads, juices etc. Very friendly, would recommend it!

Room Tip: Room 4 is lovely, but you can hear the traffic.

Stayed here for a long weekend. Paid for the bigger of the rooms. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the rest of the room was very nice. The landlady did a cooked breakfast and there was cake left out to help yourself to, which was delicious. She was also very helpful and gave us suggestions of what we could do in Bath each day.

Would definitely go back again.

I fully agree with the excellent comments done by other people: B&B well situated, Katherine very welcoming and serving excellent breakfast. Just a few suggestions: avoid room no 5 which is very small and you will spend your time banging the furniture. Also, considering that guests are often tourists, it would be appreciated if breakfast time is not so strict (8:30 to 9:30) which is quite restrictive in case you plan for organized tours or full days out; this ends up having to pay a breakfast in town for early departures.

Room Tip: Avoid room 5 and. Breakfast time should be more flexible
