“Don't miss this slice of medieval life”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

Found this place purely by accident. What a great alternative to the commercialized tourist areas of Bath. Loved the products and thoroughly enjoyed the Thursday sampler meal. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth a visit

“A quirky gem”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

It's not often you get to go into a shop shelling monastic produce with a small museum attached showing you what life was like in a monastery...... The person who served us in the shop was lovely and gave us a free sample of gorgeous apple juice to try. The unusual liqueurs and foods on sale would provide lovely holiday gifts and something a bit more interesting than the usual box of fudge with a picture of Bath on it. The tasting evenings also sound fun.

“A Must for everyone in Bath!”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

I live in Bath and have been to the Medieval Tasting evening held by Ora Et Labora twice, and both times have been fantastic. Both Joanna and Adrian are friendly, welcoming and really know their stuff when it comes to Medieval Bath. Aside from the fact it is fascinating to learn about the city's Medieval past (sadly often overshadowed by its Georgian connections) the Medieval Tasting is fantastic fun and amazing value for money. The food is delicious and the portions generous, and the cosy location means you get to meet new people at the same time. A definite must for visitors and locals alike!

“Bath's best kept little secret!”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

I stumbled upon this place while looking for Sally Lunn's and was glad I made a trip inside! They have a wonderful little exhibition on monastic life and history so it is not to be missed for history buffs. They also have lovely little treats made from working monasteries in the UK. Go check it out and you'll be surprised. Also, lovely staff! Talking to them really made my day.

“Amazing Drinks, Better Service”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

5 of us Canadians are travelling abroad in the UK and stumbled upon this place while we were in Bath. The 2 ladies working inside were wonderful ladies, letting us sample some of their ciders and wine, along with their pudding. They were very pleasant people and great to socialize with. Their cider is absolutely fantastic, along with the wine and pudding. Definitely a must see location if seeking an authentic side of Bath.
