“Soooooooooooo clean and wonderful”
Reviewed 30 March 2008

When my wife and I stayed in the Radnor Guesthouse we were greeted by the friendly owner Peter who happily answered all our queries and gave us a "parking permit" for our car. Cars can be parked in the nearby streets with no problem.
Peter gave our keys to our room (4) and as it was at the front of the house I was concerned about the travel noise coming from the busy road outside but this was unfounded as the windows were double glazed and kept the noise out. The pub over the road serves wonderful food.
The bedroom was a good size with tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplied to have with our free bickies. A flat screen TV is supplied and was a blessing on a cold wet night outside. The double bed was sensational and the only reason I got out of bed was to see what my wife was swooning over - a lovely hot powerful shower in what must be the cleanest bathroom we have seen.
The breaky was great and I would recommend the Radnor to everyone who is staying in Bath (easy 10 minutes walking distance to city centre).
A wonderful experience - thank you Peter & Jane.

A last-minute decision to visit Bath Spa on a recent trip to England sent me frantically searching for charming and affordable B&B accommodation -- which I found in the Radnor Guest House. We were lodged in the adjoining "flat", rather than in the B&B proper, and had our own door that gave onto a little laneway. The flat contained a lovely bedroom, a lounge with flat-screen TV and DVD player, a small eating area, and a small but posh bathroom.

The breakfasts were hearty and beautifully cooked, the coffee was delicious (three cheers for the French Press!), and our hosts were welcoming, knowledgeable, and charming (they didn't bat an eyelash when I managed to pop a breaker whilst charging up the batteries for my camera). The guest house itself is within easy walking distance of Bath Spa rail station, as well as all the shops and tourist attractions in the city core.

There's also a pub across the street that serves excellent pub food at a reasonable price, but the area near the guest house is absolutely littered with chic little restaurants serving every variety of food imaginable.

All in all, a fabulous place.

We loved this guest house as much as we loved Bath (a lot!). The hosts were really friendly, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. My husband really enjoyed the smoked salmon, scrambled egg and toasted muffin breakfast. The location is excellent - less than ten minutes flat walk (across a lovely bridge) into the centre of Bath.

We particularly enjoyed our stay because we managed to win the pub quiz in the pub just across the road!

I highly recommend this guest house, and we can't wait to return.

Stayed at Radnor for three nights this November and had a wonderful stay.
We got the little flat in the house next door and we really enjoyed our stay.
The delicious breakfast served personally by the host, was a threat.
We warmly recommend this guest house!

The Radnor Guest House is perfectly situated for sightseeing in Bath. The 10-minute walk across the river into town is very easy. Even though the guest house is located on a fairly busy street (especially during morning and afternoon rush hours), our room at the front of the house, facing the street, was surprisingly quiet overnight!

The owners are very friendly and helpful and will give you as much or as little information as you desire. They also provided us with a parking permit for our rental car for the duration of our stay (2 nights).

The house was full both nights we were there; yet, even with only the two of them, breakfast was served in a timely and efficient manner - and it was excellent! The fruit was especially fresh and the selection of cereals and yogurts was plentiful. The cooked breakfast following these starters was also fresh and cooked to order. Both the full English breakfast and the eggs and salmon on a toasted muffin were especially a hit in our group.

Another big plus for us was the computer set up in the breakfast area with complimentary internet access all day long.
