Cheap and cheerful.....was told this has only just opened , and everything seemed to be fresh and new......excellent. You get what you pay for....and clearly the free breakfast for under 16's is attracting many children, with their parents and grandparents.

Stayed here valentines weekend with my sis. Have been to Bath before and so pleased at the central location of this newly opened premier inn. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming on check in. Beds amazing as usual for premier inn and always get a great nights sleep!! Our room looked over the road but we were both surprised at how quiet the room was. Parked in Southgate underground car park a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Parked for around 30 hrs and it was around £16 which was grand. The hotel is right beside the odeon cinema, TGI's and wetherspoons amongst other eating places. Highly recommend. Our room was cold on arrival but we just turned up the air con and this worked grand.

This hotel was very good, clean modern and bed so comfortable. Don't book breakfast, staff could not keep up the demand for topping up cooked breakfast we were left with a few beans and a cooked tomato which was not enough for four people, no bread for toast either. Pub next door cheaper in price and better quality. Overall a very good hotel close to city centre.

My wife and I visited this hotel for a 3 night winter break. The location is very good being close to all the main attractions and the shops. We are both in our 70's but had no trouble getting around. We found the hotel very clean and comfortable. We had pre-purchased the Meal Deal so ate in the restaurant every night but the food was well cooked and well presented. A good choice also from the menu. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff were very polite, we had no problems with the restaurant that other reviewers have complained about. The only critcicism I have is that the heating was too hot. The control in our bedroom did not function correctly and although turned off it kept coming on at various times in the night, which made us too hot. But otherwise we had an enjoyable stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would like to thank Nathan in the restaurant for his service during our stay. Car parking is a problem and the Southgate Centre where the Premier In recommend charge £13 for overnight parking, so write this into your costs when considering booking here.

Sorry, but this was not up to the usual high standard of other Premier Inns that we have had the pleasure of staying in. Hopefully it was just teething problems that can and will be sorted out soon.
Positives: as always, fab comfy beds, pillows etc, Rooms clean with lovely bed lined and towels. However.......having booked two rooms I rang ahead and explained that one of the rooms would be occupied by two young adults, brother and sister, who although did not object to sharing a room for one night would require their own beds (two). They were met with one double and two single type pull out beds, really not suitable for an adult. Not wanting to make an issue of it, after all it was only for one night, they put with it. However what they could not put up with was the awful vibration all night of something mechanical from within the room.
On complaining the next morning the very lovely lady who seemed to be in charge offered a refund on the room straight away. But worse was to come:
the breakfast, food and service was simply appalling. Dirty, uncleared tables. Guests kept waiting even though there were tables available, they just hadn't been cleared. No side plates for toast. No eggs - 10 minute wait, even though sausages, bacon etc were available. Had to ask for more croissants, but completely out of muffins. Compared to other breakfasts that we have had at other Premier Inns, there seemed to be very little on offer. And it's not even as if we sauntered in towards the end of breakfast service. There was still nearly fifty minutes to go! The coffee was lovely though.
Once again I felt compelled to bring all of this to the attention of the helpful lady who had listened to our complaints regarding the noisy room. Once again she was most sympathetic and without hesitation offered us a refund for all four breakfasts.
All in all the best that can be said is that it was a very mediocre experience, the only thing saving this Premier Inn being the high standard of the beds, pillows, towels, good quality television and high standard of cleanliness.

It started off well, one of our party had broken her ankle and was in a wheelchair, so we phoned the day before arrival and the receptionist reserved for us a disabled room. Unfortunately because we didn't have a blue badge we were unable to use disabled parking space in hotel grounds despite one adult in a wheelchair. Spaces were vacant all weekend. Main parking some distance away, especially with wheelchair. . The rooms were lovely and the ambiance of the hotel. We booked the restaurant for the Saturday night at 7.30. Beware wine advertised in lift FROM 6.99 does not exist, it starts at 10.99,,!! Only three tables booked but there was a group of ladies in, a hen party?! Well we were bought the wrong drinks, the starters came, no dough sticks with soup, given a normal piece of sliced loaf. Waited another 50 mins no main course, complained, still no main, despite being surrounded by empty tables, no apology. After an hour told staff to forget it. Settled up what we ate and struggled to nearby Frankiie and Benny's. no Duty Manager on site to assist us in the premier inn. Was told someone would see us in the morning to discuss this service, no one available. We waited over 45 mins in the morning but no manager turned up, despite staff trying to phone them. We left, disgruntled. We have since given feedback to Premier Inn and nearly two weeks later have not heard from them. Before I have always sung premier inn praises and would recommend them to anyone. But this hotel was not up to scratch with its service.

This new premier inn was a good price for a hotel that is right in the middle of Bath. Although it is situated in the same building as a Wetherspoons and Odeon, there was no noise at all in our room. The area around the hotel was full of quirky cafes, restaurants and shops and close to a Sainsbury's Local and cashpoint which was useful. It would be good if there was parking included, we parked in Charlotte Street car park which is a 10 min walk away but was only £8.50 a day. The staff were friendly, the room was spotless, the bed was comfy, the shower was very powerful, the room couldn't have been better.
