“Friendly hosts”

Hosts were friendly but not exactly warm.
The solo bedroom was small but sufficient. The private bathroom outside the bedroom was very clean but very small. Breakfast was good.
Major plus about this BB is the location. It is so close to most attractions. This BB is only approx. 2-3 mins walk from the pick-up point for the MadMax Tour, and approx. 7mins walk from Bath Spa railway stn.

I have been staying at the Henry for the past four years now and still find it as lovely as ever. I read the reviews saying it's noisy with wobbly floors and steep stairs, but if that's the price you pay to be staying in a very old house in the centre of Bath, then I'll gladly pay it. Liz is the most wonderful hostess you could wish to have and I wouldn't change a thing she does. I really cannot think of anything that she could do to make the place any better than it is. I'm already looking forward to when I'll be able to stay again.

We were flying in to Heathrow and arriving at 9 pm, but did not want to stay at an airport hotel. It is more fun to wake up in the heart of an historic town to begin your holiday! We knew this would be a problem with most B&Bs, but Jana said no problem and late entry was very simple. We had two rooms - a double for parents and twins for our teenage sons. Both rooms were clean and spacious. Up one short flight of stairs on the same landing. The bathrooms were well laid out, although I suspect some may find the one in the double room a bit tight, but it was all we needed. Tea and biscuits in the rooms. It was the end of a warm weather stretch so each room had a fan and it was all that was needed for a comfortable sleep. Breakfast in the morning was generous and delicious and there were umbrellas to borrow for our walk through the city. This was exactly the first night we had hoped for on our holiday! The location is so close to everything, we would definitely stay here again. Parking was across the street in a public lot, but was no problem.

Room Tip: The double room overlooked a courtyard and the twin room overlooked the street.

Wonderful friendly welcome. Excellent service at check in and out and at breakfast. Very well-presented. Exceptionally clean and fresh. We were in room 6, an attic room. This was fine for me but my husband is 6feet tall and found ceiling height in the shower a big problem. Also attic rooms not recommended if you have trouble with stairs. We saw the rooms on the lower floors and these were more spacious. Great location, central but quiet. I would recommend. Lots of extra little touches demonstrate respect and concern for guests.

Room Tip: Attic rooms don't always pick up wifi, and height restrictions might be difficult for taller fol...

Friends and I spent a week at the Henry. Jenna and Jerry were fantastic, helpful and friendly. I did get to chat with Liz, she was delightful, funny and very well informed about the sights and interesting spots around Bath. The breakfast was lovely and just the right way to start the day. My room was small but very comfortable and so very clean. I will certainly stay here again.

The location is excellent. Only a short walk from the train station, and the Roman Baths. Most shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The square, which is the pick up / drop off point for most bus tours to Stonehenge and other sights in the area, is only about 100 yards away. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was great.
