We stayed here for three nights - first night we were in an apartment on a busy road and reeked of cig smoke. They kindly moved us to a different apartment- it was on the back that we thought would be quiet but turned out it had a loading dock - trucks making deliveries about 11 pm and 7 am.

I must say the beds were the worst we encountered during our 2 was in the U.K. We like a firm bed - but these were like sleeping on a floor. Ugh.

Best thing I can say - staff were nice.

An unfortunate set of circumstances, Marshall, considering we had set your booking up with a nice upgrade to give you more space for your stay. The apartments are on a busy road and we are actively seeking a reduction in the speed limit to mitigate against the noise, but there is little we can do to control the deliveries in the small lane to the rear of our apartments. That said, it is not a designated loading dock, and there are not a lot of deliveries. Regarding the beds, they are new Hypnos mattresses in both the apartments you stayed in, and these have a very good reputation for comfort, with advertisements for Premier Inn based entirely around this. I guess it is a matter of personal taste, as you say. You were refunded the full cost of the first night's accommodation by way of compensation for the smell of smoke. Disappointing, therefore, to receive the 'worst review ever' for your stay with us!

The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable, and equipped with all facilities necessary to make our stay unforgettable. The location was also very privileged, a short walk from the Abbey and the main shopping streets, I would definitely stay again.

This apartment was perfect. It was very comfortable and spacious with high ceilings and big windows. It had all the amenities we needed and then some. The location is ideal, very close to the train station, the Roman Baths and all the shops and restaurants. It was very clean and the kitchen has everything we needed, except for some cooking oil which would have been handy. The personnel was very helpful. We highly recommend it.

Thanks very much for these very positive comments. We are pleased you found everything to your satisfaction. We've looked at whether we can provide cooking oil but there are food safety regulations that mean we have to discard open bottles, which is unnecessarily wasteful, and personal preferences regarding type that are impossible to cater for. I trust this was not too much of an issue for you. Thanks once again and we hope to see you again soon.

We had a roomy 1 bedroom apartment - with a completely appointed kitchen, including beverages in the fridge. Would highly recommend. It is not fancy but clean, and useable, and a good value, in a very good location.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in our 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment which included a living/dining room, and a workable kitchen (we went grocery shopping and prepared an antipasto feast). The staff was friendly and helpful, and when we told the night agent that our dryer was not working to our satisfaction, he dried our clothes in an industrial dryer downstairs, and returned them neatly folded. The hotel is located within proximity of all major destinations: it was a short walk to a lively, area that had groceries, pubs, and restaurants (many stay open late); a slightly longer walk to the Bath Abbey area (where we went for a free walking tour of the town, for a tour of the Roman Baths, and for the Mad Max tour of Stonehenge and other sites); a slightly longer walk to the Jane Austen Center (do have "Tea with Mr. Darcy"); and further to the Royal Crescent. What a magnificent town Bath is - a Georgian urban planners dream! Our stay was enhanced by the comfortable accommodations at the SACO St. James, a great way to see this magnificent, wonderfully restored city!
