We stayed at the Bath House B&B for one night in August. We were very impressed with the room, facilities and friendliness of staff. There was a plentiful supply of drinks in the room. Breakfast was served in our room at our specified time. All was clean and tidy and the room very comfy. There was free parking and it is within easy walking distance of the many attractions in Bath and the shops and restaurants.
We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night in mid August, room was not ready when we arrived early but we were given our key and when we returned after visiting The Thermae Spa our cases we in our room. Champagne which we had pre ordered was on ice, fridge with water, milk and biscuits was a nice touch. Breakfast that we ordered was delivered the next morning to our room at the requested time and was very nice. On returning from a full day in Bath our room had been made up, water,milk and biscuits replenished. All in all a great place to stay and we would highly recommend
This was our first time in Bath and we would definitely stay here again. Our room was immaculate, with some lovely finishing touches. Yes the car park was a squeeze but was free and there is parking behind which you do need to pay for. The full English breakfast was lovely and my husband gave it a ten out of ten which is very rare! It was our anniversary whilst we were there, we hadn't told the owners but our cards were a giveaway, when we got back from a day out, our room had been decorated with balloons and banners with wine and chocolates in the fridge! The owners were very helpful and welcoming. The location is just a five minute walk away from the centre of Bath. On the morning of us leaving, we wanted to go to the Roman Baths and although our checkout time was 11am, they offered the use of their washroom if we needed it and allowed us to stay in their car park until we were ready to leave. Can't say enough about this lovely place to stay.
This is the second time we have stayed here - the first being our honeymoon and this time for our anniversary. Although the people managing the b@b were different to last time, they appeared to know we had been before and had left a note saying welcome back. My husband and I thought it was a lovely touch. We booked the same room as before and it was perfect....everything just as we'd remembered and hoped it to be. The room gets tidied everyday. We had a lovely surprise when we returned back to our room yesterday - a banner and balloon wishing us a happy anniversary. I am guessing they saw our cards we had put up as we hadn't told them. How amazing and kind! We will definitely be returning next year. There is not one thing I can fault. Easy access to Bath centre and free parking. You must book here!!
Great location, clean, comfortable, very pretty and a delicious breakfast served to your room. There is even free parking around the back but did have to squeeze the car in and had to leave it slightly into the street. Although worried that it may get scraped by a passing car it didn't. The reason this isn't 5 stars is because of the people running it. They were friendly enough but on check in and check out we felt like we were being rushed. Also when we asked if we could leave our car for a couple more ours after checking out we were told no. This is fine but we were told that there was free parking around the corner. This was true but very little and no chance in getting parking midday on a Sunday. We felt we were told this just to appease us and get us away. It was a shame because otherwise it was a lovely B&B.
Thank you for your kind words about our B&B. I'm sorry you lowered your score as you weren't able to continue to park after you checked-out. When you checked in, you were grateful for our free on-site parking, and of course we needed to extend that courtesy to guests checking after you had left. As we only have one space per room, you would have been taking a space for an arriving guest which wouldn't have been fair. We As we mentioned, there are lots of free spaces on Sundays in Bath and failing that, there is a large public car park directly behind us which is only about £4 for half a day. This 6 bedroom B&B is in a class all by itself. The room we were given was beautifully decorated and welcoming. The Inn is located within a 10 min walk of the center of Bath and just about every attraction including the Roman Baths, Jane Austen Center, The Bath Abbey, parks, shopping and wonderful restaurants. The Inn keepers, Alessendra and Danielle, were fantastic hosts, they went out of their way to ensure our stay was pleasant. Breakfast (you are given a variety of choices for your meal including eggs, bacon, toast, coffee, tea orange juice and other things) is served in your room, coffee, tea, milk, cookies and condiments are placed in the room daily. The decor i our room was Romanesque with a comfortable bed, table and 2 chairs, a flat screen TV and lots of storage space. The staircase to the upper rooms is rather narrow but considering that the building is over 100 years old this should be expected.
Parking is tight and there are only 4 designated parking spaces in the back of the Inn, which are hard to get into. WiFi was sporadic with more misses than hits. The Bath House is easy to get to and is on the A4 just outside of the main town center. As a B&B the price is on the high side, but worth every penny for a romantic vacation or just to stay there to tour the local sights.
I highly recommend staying here for a romantic getaway or just to tour Bath.
