“Interesting demonstration!”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

My mum and I popped up to the workshop for one of the demonstrations, I was a bit luke warm to start with but we both found it interesting and enjoyed watching the skilled glassblowers at work. It was very loud in the small workshop and my mum wears hearing aids so she couldn't hear anything that the man was saying which was a shame - if they invested a little in a radio mic it might help.

“Hot (and thirsty) work!”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

For Christmas, we got a class here as a present, and not knowing what to expect, we ended-up having a really good time. It was an early start on a Saturday, but we were met by a cheery Will and Harry (yes, I know). Both were quite young, but very experienced, and - more importantly - very funny.

We spent the morning learning about glass-making, and step-by-step we were taken through the process of making a paper-weight each. It was a lot of fun, and while my finished result was a bit poor, my girlfriend's paperweight came out really well (she is far more artistic than me).

We hung-around afterwards to watch some glass-blowing, which was really interesting. With us out of the way, the two blokes knocked-out a range of elephants, glasses and baubles. I will never look at a wine-glass the same way again.

So, wear sturdy shoes, and make sure your arms are covered as well. It gets very hot, but was a most unusual (and thoroughly enjoyable) present. It's a good job The Bell, one of Bath's best pubs, is right next door because it's thirsty work!

“Excellent & Fun Glass blowing experience!”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

Went as part of a hen day of 9. Each got to have a go at helping make our own bauble (choice of colour) with the very helpful and friendly staff. Bonus is, you have a lovely souvenir! (This does take some days before you can collect).

It is warm in there, to be expected given the furnaces, but it is worth wearing sturdy clothes, or at least something with sleeves, as having that hot a fire close wouldn't be pleasant against skin!

Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

“glassblowing is good fun”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Found this place on line and booked a visit in advance, which probably wasn't necessary, but I think it's a very good service to offer.Again all staff were happy and helpful, from the lady on the till to the glass blowers. All of our group had a go at the glass blowing, which provided a lot of fun,and you get to take home the piece of glass you made, but you have to collect it the next day.Definitely worth a visit, especially if the weather turns to rain.
