Norfolk Green is in a lovely situation in Bath. It is in a quiet street with a big green grassed park opposite it. The parking is on the street using a resident’s parking permit which Mark provides & we always managed to get a carpark very close to the apartment. It’s a short walk via the canal towpath to the nearest supermarket & a few more blocks to the town centre where most of the places of sightseeing interest are situated.
But it was the bedroom that I loved the most. I wanted to somehow magically transport it home to Australia with me! In the late afternoons, after a big day of walking around the city of Bath, to come home & put your feet up in that lovely cool bedroom with the view of a big leafy tree outside the window was heaven!
Good bathroom & kitchen, though perhaps a few more utensils & some extra plates & cups would of been useful - there was enough but we definitely needed to keep on top of the washing up. Lounge area was very comfortable but does get the afternoon sun so it is a shame that the windows could not be opened all the way up as we did have quite unseasonably warm weather during our stay - not that I’m complaining about great weather!
Be aware that the apartment is on the second floor so there are quite a few stairs to go up & no lift in the building.
Arriving & getting the key was all easily done & Mark gave very good instructions on everything & seemed well organised with good commincation. Overall, I would highly recommend Norfolk Green to anyone wanting to stay in Bath for a short or long stay for whatever reason - business or pleasure.
We were amazed how beautiful the city was. We spent time at Roman Baths also the history in the church. We wished we had more time one day is not enough.when we left Wednesday morning had a lovely walk back to the train station.
Well situated for walking to all amenities in Bath, in a quiet location overlooking Norfolk Green and the hillls beyond Bath. The accommodation has everything you need to spend a few days here. The spacious bedroom has a wonderfully comfortable bed, the lounge has comfortable seating. The kitchen is galley style with a small but adequate area for dining. The parking permit is a real bonus The host is extremely thoughtful. I would definitely recommend.
owner was so helpful, accommodation just right for two. everything we needed. lovely view over the green. we would like to visit again.
We were so pleased we had booked this apartment. It is ideally located within Bath, less than 10 minutes to the Roman Baths. The flat is faces a quiet green with lovely views out to the hills and - during our stay at least - a great place to view hot air balloons taking to the skies!
Communication with the owner beforehand was great and arrangements for entering the building were simple and straightforward. Everything was as described.
We arrived by car and were luck to find a place to park right outside the building, for which the owner happily provides a residents' permit. Only on one occasion did we fail to find a space arriving back late. We parked overnight on a single yellow line and moved the car at 8am the next morning as we observed traffic wardens operating in the area this early on another morning.
The apartment was lovely, very spacious, quickly warm with the easy to operate central heating (which we found we needed in April), with lovely furnishings and detail. The bed was very comfortable, kingsize with a soft, warm duvet. It was a little firmer than we are used to but we nonetheless found it perfect for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was well-designed with a shower over bath. Everything was spotless.
The kitchen worked well for us cooking a few simple meals on the stove top. I did not see a casserole dish but there were ample cooking utensils, crockery and glassware of various kinds - including cocktail glasses attractively arranged on the living room mantelpiece! There was a washing machine that we didn't need, staying only for a few days. A variety of teas and reshly ground coffee was also provided - what a treat! We sat at a small table by the window enjoying the views across the green and to the river running alongside.
The living room was large and comfortable, with TV showing Freeview channels. We would definitely return should we find ourselves staying in Bath again.
The flat is well furnished with all amenities and a kitchen with everything you need.
The Central Heating if required is easily switched on and off with a thermostat to control temperatures. There is also a bath and good shower. The bed is very comfortable with lovely views front and back through the huge Georgian windows.
Good wi fi connection and there was no disturbance through noise from the other flats. The parking token is a very important bonus. Sainsbury's just along the river bank, a 5min walk. No need to bring food.
We would definitely use this flat again.
This was our second stay at Norfolk Green, and once again everything was perfect for our Bath Christmas Market weekend. The peaceful location with the Green to the front and the river to the side is an easy (level) stroll into the City centre.
Mark, the property owner does a fantastic job of keeping in touch and making sure you are well informed about everything with regards to your visit, and does what ever he can to make your stay a success.
Bath has a multitude of places to wine and dine that should meet all requirements. Locally you have The Thief Hotel which is good for a quiet drink and meal or a more lively time at The Brew House in James Street with some great beers and really good pub grub. In the centre there is a range of pubs and restaurants, from some great little locals like The Volunteer Rifleman and The Raven to the more refined Jamie's Italian. I'd reccomend them all.
