Description: The Olive Tree Restaurant in the Queensberry Hotel has gained local popularity and national renown as one of the premiere dining places in Bath. The hotel is a stylish contemporary boutique hotel, but the restaurant is an oasis of calm modernity, with excellent British food served with a great attention to detail in relaxed, informal surroundings.

We booked our anniversary dinner here on the recommendation of a friend and we were not dissapointed.

The staff were friendly, efficient, very welcoming and attentive.

Whilst the menu is not large there is a good choice and the quality is superb !

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and would highly recommend it.

The meal was made complete by my wife's dessert plate being embelished with "Happy Anniversary" and best wishes from all the staff.

I went here with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and was totally surprised by the high standard of food, it was equivalent to a top quality 5 star restaurant in London. On arrival the staff were friendly, polite and professional and although the restaurant was in the basement it had a cool quiet ambiance that made you relax instantly. The wines were priced sensibly and complimented the outstanding and wonderful food.
My advice, book while you can as this chef is making a name for himself and putting this superb restaurant on the food map.

If you want to splash out a little and enjoy top quality food in Bath then this is the place to go. The menu may look a little lacking in choice but a few well chosen dishes is far preferable to an extended choice all of which are just lacking in finishing touches. The staff greeted us very warmly and were very friendly and helpful, and service was very sharp. The food was superb,
all well presented, full of varying flavours and a delight to see and taste, there seemed to be a new flavour with every mouthful. Don't miss out on the puddings, they are especially brilliant. Our wine was also excellent. We'll go back the next time we visit Bath.

A passing visitor to Bath would not find the restaurant easily but it is well worth the hunt. From being greeted at the door to settling the bill and leaving the evening was a joy.

The food was innovative and beautifully preesnted, the flavour combinations challenged and delighted, truly good ( in the best sense) food.

The service was quiet and unobtrusive.

Certainly a place to revisit on a subsequent visit.

Stayed at the Queensbury Hotel on Saturday 10th August for one night. Staff were excellent, helpful form beginning to end. Ate at The Olive Tree restaurant in the hotel in the evening and had a fantastic meal. Flavours and presentation were exceptional. If you havent eaten there yet go sson, as the new head chef is tipped for a Michelin Star by the Times and got 9/10 for its review.
Cannot wait to go back.
