We were taken here today for lunch by our friends who live locally. Although The Richmond does not look much from the outside (it sits in a row of terrace houses) there are tables inside and out and a nice atmosphere. The menu covered a good range and the waiter informed us there were a couple of extra dishes not on the menu but in short supply. I had the belly pork and others in our party had beef and chicken. All the portions were a good size, to the extent we could not manage a dessert. You need to book, especially in busy periods. Food is supplied through a pop up venture and whilst I am not clear what this means I understand the chef is contracted to provide only 24 covers so if you turn up and are number 25 you are out of luck.

Just back from a Sunday visit. Sat in the garden, nice and quiet and gloriously sunny. Whitebait and pigeon to start, both incredibly moreish. we both had fish and chips for mains and it was amazing. Gorgeous crispy fish, with minty mushy peas and delightful homemade tartare sauce. You must go!
