I dined here with my parents whilst visiting them in April. We went on a Saturday evening and have had a few experiences at other establishments in Bath which have been spoilt by overcrowding and consequent poor service at this time of the week, when of course restaurants are at their busiest. No such problems here, and what a pleasant change that makes! Wood's was certainly busy but the atmosphere was perfect: a hum of enjoyment and staff friendly and helpful. The décor is traditional and, to my pleasant surprise as a racing fan, there is a distinct horse racing theme to the paintings and memorabilia. I don't know the history of Wood's but there must be a link there! Food was all excellent, we enjoyed three courses and could not fault any of them. For the quality, prices also seemed reasonable. We will definitely be returning, hopefully for a special family birthday meal in the autumn.
