Description: Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"

“Moroccan Food at its best.”
Reviewed 2 February 2014

Dropped in for a late meal on a Wet windy Friday. Greeted with , exceptional courtesy and given a table immediately. We really wanted something light so didnt order a main course, just 4 Mezze to share. They were exceptional and obviously not cooked to cater for the masses but just what you would expect in a Moroccan home. Will go again ASAP Brilliant decor and atmosphere too.

“lovely night out”
Reviewed 30 January 2014 via mobile

Delicious meal and lovely décor made me feel like I was back in Marrakech. We had the mezze platter for 2, which was easily shared by three adults and came with plenty of warm bread.

“Cosy restaurant with good food”
Reviewed 21 January 2014

We visited this cosy little Moroccan restaurant on a romantic evening out in Bath. The restaurant looked uninteresting on the outside but we went in because the menu looked interested and good for vegetarians. Inside, the restaurant was decorated with Moroccan interior and with intimate candles on the tables. We ordered vegetarian mezze which was lovely and came with warm bread followed by vegetarian tagine. We enjoyed our meal but it did all feel little bit pricey, with prices inflated for American Tourists. Or it might have just been that the rent is very high in central Bath, in which case the price is understandable. We visited mid week but the restaurant was still full and as a consequence the main course took a little time to arrive.

A lovely meal in a lovely cosy restaurant. Very attentive staff. The cold meze was very fresh and tasty and the main courses were equally good.

“excellent food great venue”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

This is a lovely little place. The food is excellent even though the menu is a bit weird (lot's of morrocan food and then some mexican stuff like nachos). It was really reasonable in terms of price. It was a really cool venue and had a great ambience. would definitely recommend it.
