Description: Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"

Cafe du Globe has a lovely interior, with lots of Moroccan decorations and art. The service was friendly and quick. The food was really good, especially the kofta tagine. The only reason I haven't given it a 5 is because it was a bit too cosy! My partner and I had difficulty moving around the restaurant to go to the bathroom and leave because the tables were so close together (we aren't big people either!). My advice is to book earlier in the evening when it's less crowded.

Cafe du Globe is a lovely place to eat with authentic Moroccan décor and delicious flavoursome food. The inside is cosy and the service is friendly and polite. We were a little shocked to see on the bill that a rum and coke was £9 so be warned! The flatbreads were particularly good and the tagines were amazing and seasoned very authentically, having spent time in Morocco. They also have a very interesting, if pricy, shop downstairs to browse.

This place is really authentic, lovely food, piping hot, big portions and great cosy warm atmosphere, friendly staff and management. It's the food that does it though I had merguez sausages to start with some salad and a blow your head off harissa dip. Really, really tasty it came with delicious flat breads too, my main was the brouchette, two big skewers of chicken and lamb with more merguez, heaven, it come with the lightest cous cous, more salad olives etc. finished with baklava and fresh mint tea, fab, will be back

My partner and I visited Cafe Du Globe for dinner this evening and I just had to write a review on here to spread the word about how wonderful this place is!

The food was delicious, reasonably priced and had all the warming, authentic flavours that we so needed on this dreary February evening. We started with some of the nibbles, grilled halloumi salad and some baba gannouj (excuse the spelling) with warm pitta, both lovely. Mains were two Tagines; kofta (meatballs and tomato based sauce) and lamb (delicious cinnamon spiced sauce with prunes and melt in the mouth meat), both came with a choice of sides, we opted for one Moroccan bread and one cous cous and this was more than enough to share. Desserts were sorbet and I had the mint tea and Baklava which was amazing! The Baklava is not for the faint-hearted (very sweet and sticky), but for the sweet-toothed it is just divine! All of this, plus a large glass of house red and two beers came to £67; awesome value!

The restaurant itself is a small, warm and inviting room decorated authentically with beautiful wall hangings, lamps and furnishings which all add to the overall ambience of the place. Relaxed and cosy.

The service was also top notch, the owner (who was serving most tables himself) was welcoming, friendly and attentive and was laughing and joking with everyone and was very personable and polite.

All in all, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and we will definitely be returning again and again to sample more of what this hidden gem has to offer. Tell all your friends and get down there, you won't be disappointed!
