Description: If the name of this restaurant alone isn't enough to make you want to dine here, then we'll eat our Dhaka topi hats. However, in case you need any further incentive – we're delighted to say that this super-cosy establishment is superb. With whitewashed walls and brightly coloured hand-woven cushions, the Nepalese dining room at Yak Yeti Yak in Bath is warm, peaceful, and popular with a fresh-faced crowd who look like they climb mountains just for fun. While - as far as we can tell - there is no actual yeti on the menu, there are plenty of other star attractions such as the Yak Yeti Yak Beef – spicy beef stir-fried with onions, sweet peppers and tomatoes.

Very yummy food (mulled wine was great on a cold wet evening). A little difficult to find, but worth it.

“Great tasting food and drinks”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Recommended here by our B&B owners and didn't have a table booked but managed to get in for an early dinner. Great service, warm and welcoming and the food was fantastic. I had the Yak Yeti Yak Lamb and its was tender and very tasty. Great spices, highly recommended.

“We absolutely get it but it was just not for us”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

There were five of us, all food enthusiasts and all open and willing to try the new and the different. We all like Indian, Thai and Chinese. Let's start by saying the ambiance is good and the service excellent. The willingness to explain the dishes and offer advice was exemplary. Being five, we had the opportunity to select a wide variety of dishes. But collectively we found the food uninteresting. There was no 'Wow' moment, no surprise to the palate. We all found it rather bland, a point we made to our server who immediately brought various spices to the table to liven the flavours. Perhaps we were having an off night or possibly subconsciously expecting something akin to Indian food. We respect the opinions of our fellow reviewers but this was just not for us.
