You will not get better service anyplace. There are wonderful gardens.

We stayed at The Bath Priory Hotel and used their resturant for one of our nights stay.

We were asked to arrive 30mins before our reservation for canapes and pre dinner drinks, this was in the Drawing Room. We were given various menus together with the wine list. We ordered our drinks and were left to decide on our meal choices, which we opted for the Al A Carte. The lady taking our order was very helpful and offered her advice of various items on the menu and helped with our choices. We couldn't decide on our wine so the Sommelier gave us excellent advice based on the meals we had ordered, he explained to us why the wine would compliment the food. His choice was excellent.

The canapes were ok but not as good as we have had before at other resturants.

The food was very good, tasty and what we would expect from this standard of resturant. The waiter offered excellent service and suggested a desert wine which complimented the dessert beautifully. However the waitress seemed as though she lacked experience and was not confident, also when explaining our dishes she spoke very fast and you could not uderstand or hear what she said.

Overall the resturant experience was very good and we did not let the above deter us from having an enjoyable meal and we would return again.

Recently had lunch here with a friend. Good food. Watch out for the prices, though, they're London prices. This, combined with somewhat parochial service, makes for a poor combination. It might have been OK if they still had their Michelin star. Glad to have been there, but don't think they'll be seeing me again anytime soon.

Positives: an incredible banana souffle
Negatives: expensive 'extras'

We had a great getaway as a treat for my husband’s birthday. Everything from the arrival to the end of our stay was superb. The service was very attentive, the room was beautifully decorated, whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Our dinner was just exceptional and the selection of wines they have, we just could not agree on the same one, so both of us had a bottle to ourselves. We finished our evening with dessert wine, petite fours and cheeses back in the drawing room, as it was my husband birthday we had the petite fours with birthday message which we both though it was a nice touch. The next day we had a lovely breakfast and relaxing time in spa, my husband went for back massage and I had time to read magazines and had pool just to myself. We would definitely recommend this lovely hotel and both look forward to return again.
