“Great location for catch up with friends and to see Bath”
Reviewed 3 April 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We stayed here for a 40th birthday weekend with old friends. The location was perfect - right in the centre of Bath and minutes away from all the main sites. All the rooms were lovely - and the whole place is really clean. There's also a lovely big sofa and dining room table, so great if there are lots of you and you are looking to relax.

“Great accomadation for a hen weekend in centre of Bath.”
Reviewed 25 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I booked Tynley house for a friends hen do and we were n't dissappointed! The location was great, central and close to eveything we wanted. Paul, the owner was great, responding to all my queries. He gave clear directions and instructions for parking and even though the Bath half marathon was on this all went smoothly. He also arranged someone to meet us and show us around as he was away. There was plenty of room for 10 of us and there was enough seating, crockery and all important champagne flutes for all!
The house was clean and tidy on arrival and Paul even surprised us with a cold bottle of prosecco in the fridge. We were able to hire a bartender for a cocktail masterclass and he came to the house. There was plenty
Of space for this.
Late checkout was requested and we got to stay till 1pm, an added bonus.
Would definetly recommend Tynley House to groups of friends looking for comfortable accomadation in the centre of Bath.

“Excellent house”
Reviewed 14 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

I booked this house for the weekend for myself and a group of friends. This is a great house which is tastefully decorated and very clean. There were 9 of us in the house and it was more the big enough for us. It is incredibly central in location which was ideal for visiting the spa and shops and eating out in the evening. Check in and out was very easy and the owner was very accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend this house to anyone staying Bath. We would definitely stay here again.

“Fabulous accommodation in central Bath close to everything and wonderful host”
Reviewed 13 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We were a party of 7 ladies who wanted to stay in central Bath for 2 nights. We stayed in mid December and had the added bonus of Bath being full of Christmas markets which we enjoyed along with a wonderful afternoon in the Thermae spa which is a must. Tylney house was a wonderful gem of a place, very central (5 mins walk from the town centre, spa and station). The accommodation is above an estate agents with its own separate entrance. There is a large lounge with huge corner sofa with plenty of room to sit 8 and a dining table again to seat 8 in the adjoining area. The kitchen was fully fitted and kitted out for 8 people but with extra attention given to things like glasses - water, wine or champagne flutes included. A bottle of fizz was left in the fridge for our arrival, plus a loaf of break and plenty of coffee and different types of tea in the cupboard. There are 4 double bedrooms (3 can be made up as double or twins and one had a huge double and 2 twin beds) which Paul our host made up to suit our party. The double bed room on 2nd floor had its own en suite bathroom and there was a further shower room on the 3rd floor between two of the bedrooms. There was also a separate toilet on the first floor. All rooms were beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Only thing we could possibly fault was the carpet which was like a rope weave and harsh on your feet but us girls all brought our slippers so it wasn't a real issue. We arrived late on a Friday evening and Paul kindly met us at the station (Bath Spa) and walked us up to the apartment which took about 6 minutes walk. He gave us a quick tour and explained keys, heating, facilities etc and didn't take up much of our time. On the Sunday we didn't have to catch train till 5 so Paul said we could all leave our cases (7 ladies worth of baggage) in his shop which is right in the centre and only 2 mins from the station. This was wonderful as we dropped our bags late morning and were hands free to shop for the rest of the day. So overall, first rate accommodation - personally I think the Air BNB/apartment/house rental is the way to go over a hotel every time. It was so wonderful for us all to be able to be together in the communal areas rather than being stuck in a hotel room whenever you were indoors. Bath is also a wonderful place to be - particular places we loved were the Thai restaurant in the centre, the Moroccan restaurant - this must be booked and 100 metres from the Moroccan is a great cocktail bar (cant remember name but its Greek I think) built into the caves with dancing and music from about 11pm onwards - fabulous. The Pump room was delightful for afternoon tea and fizz and there are loads of places to get a really good breakfast. Thank you Paul for being a most "accommodating" host.

Liked best: Being able to all be together in a beautiful home where we really did feel at home, close to everything and our most accommodating host
Liked least: It was all marvellous - the only tiny dislike was the rope carpet - it looked great though

Four adults plus one child really enjoyed the experience of staying at Tylney house in early January. What we loved was as follows: 1. Great central location near to all pubs, restaurants and shops. 2. Very well appointed apartment with central heating throughout. 3. Good kitchen facilities. 4. Good TV and internet. 5. Very comfortable beds.
